that is so crazy! in the US things are open 24 hours a day for us zombies and so we all can never stop working.
What is petit filous? I keep seeing UK (I think) moms posting about it on the weaning forum, but I've never seen it or heard of it.

I have a question! I was at the dentist last week for a cleaning and exam and it got me wondering if you guys in UK get free dental coverage as well? Is everything covered by the NHS like medical care and completely free? If so, how often do you go for teeth cleaning and check ups?
We have good dental insurance but it's still so expensive! Our "preventative care" ie exams, x-rays, cleaning are free for me and I'm able to get that every 6 mos. But any work I need done is ridiculously expensive! I've already had $1000 plus of work done and now my dentist is saying it's going to be another $1700 before everything is completely fixed. yikes! Pregnancy left me with a lot of dental issues =/

The shops round here have half day closing on a Wednesday too, as does the doctors and the library.
Most of our supermarkets are 27/7 and our McDonalds too
I think you have a LOT more fast food places in America?

We have dentists on the NHS but you still have to pay them, just I think it's reduced rates? You get free dentist and prescriptions from when you become pregnant until a year after the babies birth and also if your on a low income.
We're on a low income so not sure about dental charges but I think I paid about £30 last time I went before I had my son
