I had an ultrasound somewhere around 6+4 and 6+6 and we got to see and hear the heartbeat! We were measuring at 6+2, but I know that was off a bit. Every one is different tho. You may or may not see/hear heartbeat. Don't panic if there's not a heartbeat yet.
I had an u/s today and I am exactly 6 weeks today and measured 1 day less and we saw the heart flicker. Did not see much else though other than the sac, still amazing that we were able to see the heart at all this early. So to answer your question yes i am sure you will see the heartbeat!! GL!!
Have only ever seen the heartbeat that early on vaginal scan.
5+6 on my first i saw heart beat
6w on my second i saw heartbeat.
BUT not an abdominal ultrasound. They had to do internal and warned me before hand if i did not see the heartbeat that wasn't bad news as it was still early.
With my first pregnancy, I went to the hospital because of bleeding (was unaware it was normal!), I was 5+4 and I got to see my little peanut who is now my rambunctious one year old and saw the heartbeat.
I had one on Tuesday, 6+2ish. We saw the flicker, but couldn't hear it. It wasn't too fast, she said it was just the start of a heartbeat. It was a vaginal ultrasound.
My first scan was at 6w1d and we saw a HB that measured at 112 BPM and we saw baby [well, it looked more like a dust bunny then.] They tried an abdominal but quickly realized they wouldn't see much and did a vaginal. She found the baby and the flickering heartbeat right away.
I had an early scan last Friday (thought it was 7 weeks but irregular periods), turned out I was actually 5+5 and we saw a heartbeat but was only visible on the internal scan. She actually scared me to death as she started with an abdominal scan and her words were "I can't see anything". Was visible through internal though. I had an abdominal scan today putting me at 6+5 and she said it was a really strong heartbeat again, we could see the flicker I have known people go for a scan at 8 weeks with no heartbeat but it appeared at 9 weeks! I wouldn't worry too much as everyone's pregnancy and baby growth rate is different!
At 5+6 they saw "fetal heart activity" with a vaginal ultrasound. At 6+4 I was able to actually hear the heartbeat (116 bpm) with just an abdominal scan. Good luck!!
I have had an ultrasound at 6.5 and have a heart beat but I have also had an ultrasound around then and the hospital tell me I would be going home to M/c.. She is luckily now 6 years old. Babies grow differently. I think ultrasounds are better read later on because there are so many misdiagnosed M/c and blighted ovums prior to 8 weeks. Even 9 in some cases. XO
