Ultrasound tomorrow

I've got my first ultrasound tomorrow afternoon, I'm 12 weeks.

I'm excited, but feeling anxious--I had an early miscarriage in 2011, plus I had a lot of bleeding with my son weeks 13-19 when I thought I'd lose him, so thats always in the back of my mind. So far though, everything has been fine with this one.

Today and tomorrow are going to be LONG while I wait for the appointment and news of little bubs...

Good luck! It's so stressful waiting for these scans! I'm 4 weeks and I'm scheduled to have mine in 2 weeks.

My 12w scan is tomorrow at 10am too. It's been a stressful 1st tri with lots of bleeding and spotting, so I am anxious and dreading the scan tomorrow. FX everything is ok. xo

Mine went great! I am SO relieved!!

I got to see the little bean moving his arms all over the place, and hear the heart beat. Everything looks good and the technician "thinks" she sees something between the legs (we know its much more accurate at the 22 week u/s) so maybe another boy for us! I'd love seeing my son play with a little brother, plus we have all the clothes we'd need already. We'd like to have 3 kids, so hopefully the last one would be a girl, but ultimately as long as everyone is happy and healthy we're happy with whatever we get

This is the point (literally right after my 12 week ultrasound) when all the bleeding started with my son, so I know I'll still be on edge for a bit, but I feel much better knowing that everything is ok in there at the moment.

Yay Great to hear!

My appointment went well!! The sonographer was so cranky and got really annoyed when I asked questions, but I was just so relieved to see a HB! The baby was measuring 61mm and had a HR of 157! Yay!! She wouldn't give me a pic though, so I'm pretty annoyed by that.

Did you get put forward a few days? I thought we had the same due date, but now you're a few days ahead.

I'm so glad you had a good scan! Such a relief! I can't believe they wouldn't give you a picture!? Isn't that pretty standard??

They did put me ahead a couple of days. Based on my last period and ovulation I I was 12w 2d, but they put me ahead 2 days. I'm not too surprised though, they changed my son's due date 3 times (moving it ahead an entire week at one point). Ended up being pretty accurate though--he was born the day before his due date.

We're still in the same fruit-week though! Yah plums!!

Ah here they won't actually change your due date unless it's off by a week or more. I was measuring a few days ahead at this scan and I wish they would change the date! I tend to have my babies early and really really want to get to 37 weeks so I can have LO in a birthing centre. I missed it by 3 days last time, so a few days could totally make the difference between a hospital and birthing centre for me. Sigh!

I wonder why they won't change it? People have different cycle lenghts, and can ovulate early or late...it makes the most sense to go by the ultrasound dating, doesn't it??

Fingers crossed you keep that bean in for at least 37 weeks so you can give birth where you want
