Hello! This is my first pregnancy so maybe I am just over worrying. I was looking closely at my ultrasound and saw a spot just a little above where the ear should be (just right of the eye on our left) that doesn't look right to me. I am going to bring this up to my doctor when I go in Tuesday for another appointment. I just want to try and get some inputs before hand to maybe put me at ease or let me know what it could be. Or if anyone sees anything else alarming, any input is greatly appreciated :) I am about 14 weeks along if that helps at all.

You are probably just worrying! These ultrasounds aren't high definition so sometimes things look a bit odd! I mean most times you can't see their arms or legs and we don't worry about that!

It takes an experienced sonographer to really understand what's going on in an ultrasound.

The dr n sonographer would have been aware if something was off. X

I'm a sonographer. On that image alone, all I can see is bubs body, arm and head turned away. Nothing abnormal on that particular image.
It takes a lot of training and experience to read an ultrasound image, however, if you are worried then speak to your dr. I'm sure if there was a problem, they would have told you. H&h pregnancy to you xxx

I wouldn't worry hun, only a trained sonographer would be able to tell if something was wrong.
In my first ultrasound I was worried that I couldn't see his nose but he's got one its just small :)

Ha yeah, my lo has a hand but no arm in my 20w scan pic.

I really wouldn't look for anything suspicious in an ultrasound pic, I'm sure your lo is fine.

...my husband looked at the 16 week potty shot we had last week and told someone it was the head shot. Really.

Sorry love, but without training and education, to most people its all a crazy mix of grey and we are lucky to pull much out of it. Talk to your Dr for your own peace of mind, but truly, dont stress until theres something to stress about :flower:

My husband says all ultrasounds just look like happy clouds. :) After the reply above from the sonographer, I think you're good. But I know the whole thing can be nerve-wracking.

My dd looked like a straight up alien in one of the pictures they gave me. She's totally normal lol. Those things are way too difficult to read, don't over think it. :)
