My husband and I have been ttc #1 for approximately 8 months now with no luck. Im 30 years old and my cycles are irregular, ranging from 30-41 days long. I have been using a fertility app and have been taking my temp daily, monitoring CM, and using ovulation tests like they are going out of style. Because of my irregular cycles we decided to go hog wild and do the BD nearly everyday since CD 8 of this month. So, we are now on cycle day 35 and have BD 21x, which is exhausting. This is my longest cycle yet and I have officially had 3 positive "peak" Clearblue Digital ovulation tests within the past week as well as EW CM off and on. My fertility friend has pegged a possible ovulation to be on CD 30, which is when I did have a small spike in temperature. However, I continue to have peak ovulation days, ovulation pain? and EW CM. What the heck is going on?! https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/53d315/?a=6028251&u=1&

I'm going to be completely honest and I don't want you freak out or anything...

But it sounds like you might have PCOS? I have it and the fact you are getting so many positives on your fertility monitor is a red flag for me. I get false positive OPKs all the time, thus I don't do OPKs anymore.

And honestly your chart look annovulatory to me. I know you are only 8 months in but maybe you could try making an appointment with a RE (reproductive endocrinologist)? They usually won't see you unless you've been TTC for alteast 1 year, but it usually takes a few months to get in so it would possibly be close to a year by then. Otherwise, you could try seeing your OBGYN and asking if they would test that for you.

Anyway, if you do happen to have PCOS, this will probably only get worse until you've been diagnosed and treated. But, once on a treatment plan, its still plenty possible to get pregnant, just takes a little more effort.

This is the 1st time that i have had more than 1 positive OPK. Normally my cycles, although long, have had a positive ovulation. Can PCOS just appear like that? I just had an annual with my gyno last week and she never once mentioned PCOS. Should i give her a call and ask or get a 2nd opinion? She wants us to keep ttc until July...

Yes it can. Usually it comes on after some period of being off of BC. For me, I had 3-4 perfectly normal cycles and then all the sudden I stopped ovulating and didnt have a period for 6 months. Thats how I found out I had it.

Last cycle, i got a (very, very nearly) positive OPK on CD21 but I didnt get a temp rise. My temps stayed low. On CD35 (the day AF would normally come) I got 5 definitepositive OPKs over the space of 2 days accompanied by EWCM and a small temp rise like yours.

I did some research to try and find out why I had ovulated so late. Apparently if you have stress/illness or even travel around the time you're due to O it can throw your cycle off, then your body can try to O again a short while later. I believe this is what happened to me as my old cat went missing and died around the beginning of my cycle and I believe the stress/upset after that halted ovulation.

Is there anything bad that happened around your CD26-30? To me it looks like you Od CD34/35 and to me it looks like you have BD'd to cover bases!!

I didnt get pregnant last cycle, nor have I been diagnosed with PCOS (I possibly have some symptoms of PCOS but its only our 3rd cycle TTC so we are going to see what happens first) but I thought I'd just share my experience with you. Last month was our first temping etc but ive definitely had 2x 40+ day cycles in the last year.

Good luck xx

Heres my FF chart from last cycle. it was a bit of a mess at the beginning as I had only just purchased the BBT thermometer.
