So ive had my blood tests and hsg, hubby's had a sperm test and all have come back normal. Convinced consultant to put me on clomid for 3 months, as she had mentioned i might not be ovulating as strongly as i could be, which ive taken, and not pregnant :( No tests while i was on clomid to see if it was helping or anything....So im going back to her next month and im feeling so depressed about it all :( As last time i was there she said that she had done her tests and that she would write to my gp :( I just dont know where i go from here? If she just gives the whole oh you be pregnant soon just keep trying, as she did last time i was there, i might just burst out crying :( Im just so confused as to what the gp can do? As he was the one who sent me to her! The letter says she is a consultant chemical pathologist, i havent been given any options such as ivf or anything and have been trying for years with my husband to conceive :(

I'm sorry, honey. I see that you've had a long journey TTC. Keep being strong.

I don't have any advice for you because I'm still relatively new to TTC, but you're not alone. :hugs:

HI there. I have PCOS but I was still ovualting on my own. I got my BFP on Letrozole (femara) This is similar to clomid but less side effects. (i was on Clomid for 6 cycles with no success) when I was on the Letrozole I felt Ovualtion pain and I ovulated on the same day each cycle so it was easier to track ovulation and get BD at the right time. 6 months on Letrozole was my last try before IVF and it worked for me and many others. Maybe something to ask your doctor about?

Maybe try seeing another RE for a second opinion. Luckily mine moves forward quite quickly as she does not want to waste anymore time. I would also tell them that you are not satisfied and would like more options. Dont let them blow you off~Its your life not theirs. Best of luck!

I really feel for you dear :hugs:

I agree that you should definitely ask to be referred to a fertility specialist.

Not sure where about you live, here in the North West of England, in my area, my fertilty specialist will refer me for IVF in August if 8 rounds of clomid with ovulation fail to achieve pregnancy, that will be 2 years of trying which makes me eligible. Hoping to get pregnant before IVF though.

Let us know what your next step will be. :flower:

Ive had 6 failed rounds of clomid and now being referred for ivf, after 2 years of ttc apparently unexplained infertility. Also in north west in uk. Ive got to have a hsg and make sure my cervical screening is up to date while I wait for referral
Gl luaive with finding a new consultant that will listen to you x
And kimbra hope u get a sticky bean before ivf! X

Lots of babydust to you too Kay! :hugs:

Puh, what a loooong journey!
HSG is not too bad. It does hurt a bit but only for a few seconds and it's nice to know what the fallopian tubes are up to :winkwink:

How long do you have to wait for referral? I am really glad the waiting list here in Merseyside is only 6 weeks. At least if we have to, might as well be nice and quick after all the waiting. :coffee:

Not sure about the wait for hsg, dr said couple of weeks but they lie to keep u from mithering. Il have to then be referred to the women's as Warrington dont do ivf. Id prefer there any way but since I moved out of the area I couldnt get an appointment there. I think we've waited lobg enough now and its mean to make us wait any longer!
