Unexplained/Male Factor

I don't know if this is the proper section to post this, so I hope I am not intruding. This is our 11th month TTC and I am becoming paranoid. I know I have not been trying as long as many women in this section. However, I have a question about infertility and am having trouble finding answers. My parents conceived me via IVF. They had what the doctor called "unexplained/male factor infertility". Could this be affecting my chances of getting pregnant? Could it be that this is hereditary?
