Anyone else pretty much told your tests are normal and wonderful? This is so frustrating!

Yes although my husband has a high number of abnormal sperm. We've been told this shouldnt be a problem however as his sperm count is really high. We've been TTC for 3 years. I came across a study about osteopathy and fertility yesterday. I'm going to post it in a new thread - check it out.

Good luck - I hope it happens soon for you.

That happened with my husbands first semen analysis. But that's not the issue. ill check it out!
Thanks and I hope it does for you soon too! Have you done any fertility treatments?

same here, all tests for me and my DH are normal. They even sent my DH for a DNA fragmentation test. Its so frustrating, I am 2 1/2 years TTC with 4 failed IUI's and 2 failed IVF's.

Hi we are in the unexplained, nothing the matter with us, test have all been done.

Next step was IUI which was going to be this June then IVF next year, but that has now been cancelled as the goverment have put more money into IVF so they have put us straight for IVF which should start in April.......I am very nervous but excited

It's a long road ttc

It has got to be the most frustrating response you can hear from the doctors.
What exactly is the DNA frag test?

one I see you live in NYC? So do I and I am actually going for a second opinion with a new RE next month. His name is Dr. Tortoriello i've read good things about him so we will see.

What insurance do you have? The government put more money?

Yes and after 3 failed IUIs with clomid and another with menapur I'm sooooooo frustrated

That poster is i scotland, and i assume using the NHS?

Chris - The DNA fragmentation is yet another SA where they exmaine the DNA to make sure everything is OK on that end. My RE wanted to make sure everthing was good with that because he thought we would get a better blast rate if we didnt do ICSI.

is Dr. Tortoriello from NYU? I heard good things. I have a consult with Dr. Davis at Cornell. I am hoping he can get me my BFP! Where did you go prior? I went to Genesis in Brooklyn, several of my friends went there and had success.

Yea sorry I'm scotland we get funded by NHS....IUI we have to pay £500 but IVF is funded by NHS 3 attempts & if it doesnt work then we have to go private & pay.

Confusing all the different countries in how they all work!

I also am currently with Gensis in Brooklyn Dr. Grazi but decided to go get a second opinion Why did you decide to leave Genesis?

I am also using Dr. Grazi. I am going for a 2nd opinion because after my 2 failed IVF, really without reason, I think its time to move on or at the very least get a different protocol.

Dr. Grazi thinks it maybe my genetic with my embryo's although I've had good looking embies from the "look" He's preformed all sorts of test on me and my DH, genetic blood, etc. He also did a biopsy prior to my last IVF. I really wanted him to test for immune issues, but he doesnt think that's the case. We are also out of pocket, so I want to go to a reputable place that may be a little more aggresive. I was truly thinking Cornell or CCRM in Colorado. We decided for financial reason's well stay on the City.

What is your reason's for leaving or looking for a second opinion.

I've also been going to Genesis recommended acupunturist, Irina Logman for over a year.

Wow you been through a lot. I think it's a good idea you move on to someone else I really hope you get a BFP soon with the new RE! Yea, they told me about Irina.
I want to go for a second opinion because i'm kind of frustrated even though I haven't been through what you have. But after 3 iui's failed and i'm not having any answers. I feel like Dr. Grazi looks at me like I am crazy if I ask or say something, i'm not sure what it is exactly but it's the vibe I get from him. I'm not really being reassured about things. I was also thinking about going for a laporoscopy which he said another doctor would be doing the surgery. He also said that he doubts they will find anything.
Also i'm no doctor, but if I ovulate on my own and with the medication I took I never had more than 1 follicle so what is the point in medication? I asked him this and he said it makes it stronger. Yea, well apparently not! :(

oh ok gotcha! Yea, they all work so differently. THat's great that they are covering it! :) I wish you the best of luck!

Chris, I get the same vibe from him. I feel like he's condesening, for example, he say with a smirk "where did you hear that" (after I asked him a question) in other words I google everything. When I had my WTF appt with him after my 2nd IVF, he knew I was going to another clinic because I asked for my paperwork, and I feel like he the most sincere then. I get what your saying, I also dont like the fact that there is absoutely NO interaction with the Dr when your cycling. You can call if you have questions, but none around when you go in for monitoring.

I understand they cant be there all the time, but pop your head in every once in a while when your patient is cycling. I will say the IVF nurses and so much nicer than the IUI nurses. Things may be the same at Cornell, who knows, but I am willing to take that chance.

I do hope you get your BFP soon, I know its extremely frustrating. Please keep me posted on your consultation and I will do the same.

Yes, exactly! I've been saying that since I first went to him that he gives that "smirk" and makes me feel stupid. You are right they should be more involved, because it's so very important to the patient! As for the nurses some were very nice and I didn't care for the others at all. I actually hung up crying once after I called them when I got my period and didn't get spoken to very nicely.
It is extremely frustrating and depressing and all I do is
Do you live in BK? Thanks good luck I will keep you posted!

I got into an arguement with one of the nurses because after my last failed IUI I wanted to straight to IUI with injections and she was like he must come see the dr and I was like can he call me and she told me no, cause how was he going to "bill" that. WTF!!!!

Its extremely depressing and I still wish I can get pg natually, I did once which resulted in a chemical, that was over a year ago and nothing since! Yes, I live in Dyker.

Wow that's so messed up! WhT happened with me wa after my first IUI I called and had no clue what to do I never heard them at a baseline test after that. So when I was asking questions she was like "didn't u take the class" um excuse me for asking a question! Then another time a different nurse tells me I can't go see the doctor until 3 failed IUI's and insisted that I stay one the same meds. I made the appointment anyway though.
I grew up in dyker but just moved to si
