What insurance do you have? The government put more money?
Chris - The DNA fragmentation is yet another SA where they exmaine the DNA to make sure everything is OK on that end. My RE wanted to make sure everthing was good with that because he thought we would get a better blast rate if we didnt do ICSI.
is Dr. Tortoriello from NYU? I heard good things. I have a consult with Dr. Davis at Cornell. I am hoping he can get me my BFP! Where did you go prior? I went to Genesis in Brooklyn, several of my friends went there and had success.
I am also using Dr. Grazi. I am going for a 2nd opinion because after my 2 failed IVF, really without reason, I think its time to move on or at the very least get a different protocol.
Dr. Grazi thinks it maybe my genetic with my embryo's although I've had good looking embies from the "look" He's preformed all sorts of test on me and my DH, genetic blood, etc. He also did a biopsy prior to my last IVF. I really wanted him to test for immune issues, but he doesnt think that's the case. We are also out of pocket, so I want to go to a reputable place that may be a little more aggresive. I was truly thinking Cornell or CCRM in Colorado. We decided for financial reason's well stay on the City.
What is your reason's for leaving or looking for a second opinion.
I've also been going to Genesis recommended acupunturist, Irina Logman for over a year.
Yea sorry I'm scotland we get funded by NHS....IUI we have to pay £500 but IVF is funded by NHS 3 attempts & if it doesnt work then we have to go private & pay.
Confusing all the different countries in how they all work!
Chris, I get the same vibe from him. I feel like he's condesening, for example, he say with a smirk "where did you hear that" (after I asked him a question) in other words I google everything. When I had my WTF appt with him after my 2nd IVF, he knew I was going to another clinic because I asked for my paperwork, and I feel like he the most sincere then. I get what your saying, I also dont like the fact that there is absoutely NO interaction with the Dr when your cycling. You can call if you have questions, but none around when you go in for monitoring.
I understand they cant be there all the time, but pop your head in every once in a while when your patient is cycling. I will say the IVF nurses and so much nicer than the IUI nurses. Thing may be the same at Cornell, who knows, but I am willing to take that chance.
I do hope you get your BFP soon, I know its extremely frustrating. Please keep me posted on your consultation and I will do the same.
I got into an arguement with one of the nurses because after my last failed IUI I wanted to straight to IUI with injections and she was like he must come see the dr and I was like can he call me and she told me no, cause how was he going to "bill" that. WTF!!!!
Its extremely depressing and I still wish I can get pg natually, I did once which resulted in a chemical, that was over a year ago and nothing since! Yes, I live in Dyker.
