Hi, early this year I stopped using the depo contraceptive needle as the doctor told me that after 2-3 years it's best to stop as it can stop my chances in the future of infertility. More then a month ago I got my first period since stopping the needle and then a few weeks later on the 14th of july (sydney dates) I got 2 nights of light bleeding then it disappeared and I haven't had a period or bleeding since now yesterday afternoon I got sharp pains in my lower abdomen area and they get really painful like a stabbing sharp feeling when I move or cough I've never had either of these before not even before getting a period. I've also been more tired then I would normally over the past 2 and a bit weeks. Could I be pregnant? I'm to sated to take a test as I don't know what I'd would say to my partner let alone my family as I'm not really ready to be a mother although I would keep the baby if I were to be pregnant.

Hey! I was on the injection too, it's fairly normal for your cycle to go crazy afterwards from my experience! I think it generally takes up to 12 months for things to get back to normal, but everyone is different. I'm coming up to the 12 month mark next month and I had spotting and then so far have missed my period (whether this is due to injection or not, I'm unsure). I'm not sure about the pain you're having, I had a lot of nips and cramps after coming off the injection, I say, take a test, it's the only way to know, also if you're worried about these pains, make a doctors appointment, just to put your mind at ease!! :hugs:
Hope everything works out well for you!

Thanks heaps that helps quite a bit but I shall either buy a test or go doctors this week sometime hopefully :) in just heaps scared lol

No problem! You're doctors might advise you to go on the pill to regulate your periods (if you're not pregnant), they did that with me, but the pill didn't agree with me and I became a moody monster!! :haha: (my poor partner)
Sorry you're scared, it will be ok, these things have a way of working out, I fell pregnant with my daughter when I had just turned 21, I seriously panicked, and was so scared to tell my mum and dad that I text my mum to tell her! :dohh:
My daughter was and always will be, the best thing that ever happened to me :flower:

Thanks do much you've been really helpful I think I'm just mostly scared about telling my partner and some family I know everything will turn out fine no matter what happens :)

Anytime!! Keep me posted on how you're doing, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out. :hugs:

The cramps have now moved to my back they're still on the sides of my lower abdomen area also but my lower abdomen doesn't feel as bad as yesterday but bck hurts pretty bad. Gonna hopefully have time today to buy a hpt

It came back negative but I'm still gonna go doctors this week as hpt's aren't always correct
