I'm really enjoying the funny/embarrassing labor stories thread, and it made me wonder...
Did you have any strange or unusual symptoms that tipped you off to labor coming soon?
With my son, I had a scheduled c-section. However, I went into labor the morning of the c-section, so I had a few hours of intense contractions before his birth. I was incredibly weepy and emotional -- REALLY weepy. At the time I chalked it up to the fact that I was having my baby THAT DAY and who wouldn't want to cry for joy at that?
But when I went into labor with my daughter, the same thing happened. I wasn't having contractions at all yet, but I started crying so hard it was difficult to breathe. It just hit me like a ton of hormone bricks. I sobbed and sobbed for hours, and suddenly I had a contraction that made me pause and think, huh...is this what I think it is?
I had my daughter by the end of the day.
My mother had something similar...with three of her pregnancies, she had horrible cramps in her feet right before she went into labor. She thought it was a fluke until the third one, then she knew that foot cramps meant get to the hospital!
So what about you? Any strange or unusual symptoms that none of the pregnancy books mentioned would happen?
