I think I've narrowed it down to 2, see next page
I'm terribly shallow and want them both because they look good and its clouding my judgement on which one will be better!

I've fallen in love with a greenbean, its £60 which is a little more than I was wanting to pay but its stunning!

Is that about the right price? Not sure I want to pay that much for something I dont know if I'll use much, guess I could always sell it on if I didnt use it, and I know people pay alot more!

I could get a 2nd hand beco butterfly for that price or even a brand new action baby carrier for less

I would pay that or more for a good carrier but then, I've paid over £100 each for 2 of my wraps

It's better to buy something you love as then you will enjoy using it :flower:

I saw a wrap for sale for 625 euros!!!

I do love it, its beautiful :cloud9:

I'd probably pay up to £100 for a MT, if it was really beautiful and either I knew I liked wearing it or it had really good reviews.

I've not heard of a Greenbean before, there are a few threads on TBW about them, but it seems that there are other more recommended brands for a similar sort of price. I also found a thread saying that they are pretty tiny, so wouldn't be the longest lasting.

I did once spend £180 on a MT
But I had a really really great one for about £45, a Tettitett, it was awesome and very well made. I think £60 is a fair price to pay but I'd want something that would last further beyond the newborn stage. Have a look at Freehand, Babyhawk, Napsack, FBS [Front Back and Sides] ermmm Kozy...that's all I can think of at the mo!

Yeah the lady selling it did state its probably only suitable for up to about a year old, LO was born on the 98th centile and has dropped to 75th but has potential to jump back up once I start weaning I guess so maybe not the best idea to get a small one but on the otherhand I dont want one thats going to swamp her either? Its very confusing.

I'll have a lookie and see if I can find any of those ones you've mentioned, thankyou

The Freehand mei tai is gorgeous I have the flower one but i love the owl one!!!

I totally love my freehand! Lasts up until the age of 3 or there abouts!

The most I've paid was about £65 for a MT but I'd probably go higher if it was a really good carrier :)

I'm not sure, the posts I read gave the impression it was more suitable for under 6 months...do you have measurements on it?
You can roll the waist to make them fit smaller babies, and cinch the bottom in if need be. Many carriers say they're suitable up until 35lb [I think even the BabyBjorn] but it's more of a physical weight limit rather than what would be comfortable if you see what I mean. How old is your LO?

These are the measurements...

Panel 37cm across bottom, above waist band/39cm length
Waist strap 230cm/9.5cm deep
Shoulder straps 216cm long/8.5cm wide/padding extends 54cm

I dont know what any of that means tho! lol

My DD is almost 5 months but fairly big, and long :)

hummmm i see them a lot cheaper

why?????

There was a thread i posted about and i think these were unsafe according to others..like the stitching. Best to stick to reputable sellers. I think the palm and pond ones on ebay are fine though but dont have long ties.

If your LO is larger baby I'd definately recommend a longer lasting one. My LO is 5 months and on 98th for weight and height and is currently comfortably in 9-12 clothes. I have a freehand which I love and she fits niceky...a smaller carrier would be a waste of money unless you had a preemie I think and were therefore likely to have a petite baby fir a while...

Hmmm the width is ok but it's not very high, personally I'd prefer a couple of inches longer, that way you can just roll it if it's too big to begin with. It's not as teeny as I imagined it would be though.

why?????

Yup they are fakes and poorly made apparently. I read a thread saying that the shoulder straps came away from the body just by a firm tug, because there isn't enough of an overlap on the inside :o

I think I've narrowed it down to 2.

A kindercarry

or the butterfly one in this thread, this is the greenbean

https://www.naturalmamas.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=45072&highlight=greenbean

The pink one is a bit bigger than the butterfly one. there's also a really nice connecta I'm looking at (not an integra tho) but I'm verging towards the kindercarry.
Please help me choose!

I had a Kindercarry and it was really comfy. This was at 6 months, loads of growing room as you can see.

I sold it as I found I preferred cord straps, but it's a pretty personal thing :)

Thanks, I think I'm going to go for the kindercarry anyway, got the older kids to vote! lol

The butterfly greenbean is stunning but I'm not keen on the green hood (shallow, moi??) and it probably isnt really a good idea seeing as the panel is butterflies on WHITE!

You should just go for a freehand mei tai. They are brilliant :) I have used mine loads and also good for children up to 3. Looks very similar to the one that the picture is posted about.
