US home birthers & birth certificate documentation

I was wondering..
Does the midwife file all the paperwork etc for the birth certificate?
Or do you have to do this yourself?

I believe the hospital usually does this for you already..

Was just wondering how this works!

The midwife will file all necessary paperwork for the birth certificate. hth

My midwife takes care of it. I'm sure if yours doesn't, she will know the procedure for you to do.
