Hi ladies,

I'm 14 weeks tomorrow, and so happy to be moving on to 2nd tri, but still feeling so sick. Anyone else have sickness last into 2nd tri? When did it start to go away for you? I know everyone is different, and being sick in the second trimester isn't unheard of, but this totally sucks!

I'm overseas (moving home for good in a few weeks) and DH and I aren't telling our families until we get back (when I'll be 19 weeks) and we're so excited to surprise them. I get bad migraines when I'm not pregnant (occasionally accompanied by vomiting), and have had a few since getting my BFP. Had one starting yesterday, and felt on the verge of throwing up for hours. Then, my mom asks to Skype with me, and *as soon as the call started* I was heaving and running for the bathroom....lol, hopefully I didn't raise her suspicions that I'm pregnant!! I didn't make it to the toilet, and (TMI) projectile vomited ALL OVER our bathroom twice...then 3 more times in the toilet. Poor DH cleaned it all up for me. Really hoping this stops soon...

You poor thing. I had awful ms with my first and it started to ease at 13/14 weeks then was completely gone by 16 weeks. Wasn't as bad with dd but I was sick every morning til I was 26 weeks...that was totally manageable as I knew it was coming and then I'd feel better. This tjne it is easing and I've had quite a few puke free days in the last few weeks.
Hope it passes for you soon. It really can be horrid xx

Ugh, am 20 weeks on Sunday and its only this week I've had a couple of days not being sick. Currently in bed avoiding moving as have woken feeling sick again! Having said that, its much more manageable now, nothing compared to how I was feeling at your stage. Really hope yours improves soon, every day is a day closer to feeling better :) xx

With my first - 24 weeks.

This one it is being controlled more by cyclizine. I had one week with no vomiting and no nausea (week 12) i thought, yeh that it gone. The past few days it's returned and past 3 days I've been back in bed by 8pm because if I'mot I spend all evening running to the loo. I've been sick at least once past few days when I did gets a reasonable run of ltitle vomiting. I think I'like have to go back up to 3 tablets if it carries on. I was even sick this am, and I haven't been sick in morning for weeks.

Wow, I'd love to say it feels great not to be the only one feeling this rotten, but I'm so sorry you ladies are still feeling sick too. It is definitely hard. I work with a couple dozen 4 year olds in the tropics, and our days are usually 10 hours long with them, and it's killing me. Just happy the school year is almost through!

I just assumed that I'd feel much better in second tri, and now I'm kind of worried about our flight home. I tend to get motion sickness during travel anyway, and it's a 26 hour trip (4 flights plus some short stops) Fingers x'd it subsides by the time we leave at 19 weeks, or poor DH is going to have a big baby to deal with as I'm such a wimp when I have to travel and am feeling under the weather!! I am a bit less complain-y about it than I would be if it were, say, a stomach flu...I think it's just knowing that I'm sick for a very good reason that makes me accept it more.

Hope we're all feeling much better soon :flower:

Are you on anti sickness meds?

Ive got HG sickness is still around, i had bad period between 14-15w but has settled since only been few times a week however, sickly feeling is still present, if i get bad heartburn i have to go carefully and ive started feeling my baby move which makes me feel very sick.

My first baby it didnt shift until 20w but i always get sickness back towards the end toi.

I'm sorry you have HG! I am not on any meds, as I'm not really sure how sick is too sick, iykwim. And the doctor I saw at my 12 week didn't seem concerned. I tend to be nauseous nearly all the time, but usually only have bouts of vomiting for 2-3 days in a row each week, mostly in the morning and after dinner - midday, it's just bad nausea. And it did subside for about 2 weeks from about 11-12 weeks, and I thought for sure I was done with being sick then! Ha, I was wrong :)

Im no doc, but id say you should have got tablets it would have helped you greatly.
I refuse to stop my meds until i go 2 weeks min with no nausea.
I was roughly the same only it was week 10 and 11 were my best.

Ya, I'm starting to think you might be right. I haven't kept anything down today, including soup and water. And I have a low fever (only around 100)...if I'm not feeling any better tomorrow, I guess I'll call the doctor. It's 2 hours away by train though, so hoping I don't have to go in...and he's on holiday until next week, so I might have to see someone else.

If you cant keep water down you deffo need meds. Hope you feel better soon.

I started to feel a lot better around 15/16 weeks.

If you have a slight fever maybe you have a stomach bug too? That could be making it even worse! It can't hurt to get checked out.

With my first two pregs, it lasted until 6 and 5 months, respectively, although it wasn't as bad near the end.
We are going to Disney when I am 14-16 weeks; I am REALLY hoping it isn't as bad by then or I will spend the whole trip in the hotel :(
