Good evening all

Tonight I picked up our first bottle of Gripe Water, as Infacol didn't seem to be helping LO bring up wind. I want to see if it helps and in turn helps her sickness.

The instructions say to give 5ml of the Gripe Water with a spoon. I tried this and as expected, it caused a mess and I'm not sure how much she got!

I've cleaned out the nearly empty bottle of Infacol to use the dropper as we didn't have problems giving her that. Thing is, that says it is 0.5ml...

10 drops of the Infacol dropper seems a lot, so I tried filling it with boiled water and dispensing it into a medicine spoon. Three droppers filled the 5ml spoon. So now I am confused about how much I should give her, as the maths doesn't add up to me!

Help anyone, have I got a full on baby brain and am missing the obvious here?!? :dohh:

Not sure about the infacol dropper, but you can get medicine syringes from boots. They have accurate measurements on the side and are easier to get clean. You just have to ask at the pharmacy bit. X

Did you check that you stopped at the 0.5ml line and that you didn't suck a bit up into the bulb? I have been using the dropper too but never manage 10 times but then with the spoon id say more than half was getting wasted anyway! Never thought to measure it properly though! :/

I got a syringe from boots. Cost 20p but easier than a spoon!! Lol

Syringes are good for giving other medicines too like calpol etc...

Xx

Are you BF or FF.
If BF id agree with the others and get a thingy from boots.
If FF, just put it in the bottle with milk x

Didn't realise you can add it to the milk - that is much easier!
