hi, i thought i would opt for another c section due to all my anxieties regarding having my prem, however the more i think about it the more iwill consider a vbac.
however i have spd really bad, i dont know how bad it will get if i go term ( if too bad i will opt for c sec anyway) but i have read u need to be on a babyheart monitor constantly during labour, so would i be stuck on the bed, with my spd i find lying down hard anyway, theres no way i could be on a machine constantly

I opted for a vbac attempt when my daughter was due Aug 11, I had GD so had to be induced a couple of weeks earlier than my due date, I was on a monitor from the outset on the bed, so moving was limited unless going to the toilet.. once epidural went in I was on the bed stat! I ended up having an emergency c-section early hours of the following morning having only dilated to 8cm and baby was exhausted.... as was I!!
I am due with number 3 in December 12 and I am advised a planned c-section. which I am more than happy with xxx due to the fact I had other complications arise during my last c-section. With Vbac the chances are higher of you ending up with a c-section I think but if your gynae is happy with you giving it a go..& you are happy and you both agree, then why not, just make sure you take gynae advice seriously x

they will be happy for a vbac as only reason for c sec was to get baby out at 29 weeks to save him, i just worry that i will have to be on monitor constantly, i just couldnt do that. i was meant to see a consultant the other day after my scan but they fobbed me off with a midwife instead. now i dont even get to see one until 34 weeks :( so mant unanswered questions

aww it's a nightmare. I didn't understand why I had to be on a monitor from the start . I think it is because I was induced...just to keep an eye on baby x good luck. Let us know how you get on x try and get in touch with consultant sec and ask if you can have an apt to see the consultant at antenatal clinic as an extra apt.? just a thought.

Its totally up to you. You can refuse CFM and opt for intermitent monitoring instead. You do not need to be on the bed, you can walk around freely and birth how you want. They will tell you otherwise but you cannot be forced to do anything.
Your birth, your way. Be strong.:hugs:

thanku. i am just so worried something will go wrong, but then i would love to have a natural albour, its not like my baby had probs during labour before or anytyhing like that, i simply had a c sec to get him out early before. So if i go term i have a good chance of pushing baby out! i would love to try it but its freaking me out already, i want to have a birth i wanted, not stuck on a bed, i shall talk to the doc at 34weeks n if they r insistant i need constant monitoring then i shall fight ( or opt c sec!) heres hoping i get that far and cant make the decision tho!
