I had 2 c sections, one on January 14th 2007 and one on May 6th 2008, I'm due on January 25th 2013, and after switching doctors a couple times and lots and lots of protesting, I finally got a go ahead from a obgyn to try a VBAMC. But they are telling me I have a less then 50% chance of success due to the reasoning behind my first c section. I'm nervous, not about rupture, but about going through labor, just to have a c section again.

Hi Hun I have had 2 sections and mine was both emergencies after being in labour over a day with both. I know what you mean but I am going for an elective this time as I have been told that its a completely different experience when it's planned. It's your decision at the end of the day but speaking from experience it's so hard recovering when your absolutely knackered from being in labour. I really wish you well and hope you prove them wrong. Wish I was very brave like you we are wtt feb 2013 and am scared of my section already lol xx

My doctor won't allow me to have an VBAMC due to the risk of rupture, I would love to experience labor, and having my water break, but I understand the risks.

The risk of rupture is less the 1% if you have waited atleast 18 months between your last c section and current due date. And, what doctors don't tell you is most of those ruptures are NOT catastrophic full ruptures. Just partial. I had a emergency c section with the first and a planned c section with the second, the recovery WAS much easier with the second, but with a 4 year old and a 5 year old, I can't have any recovery time lol

My 2 boys are about a year apart so I understand how your feeling... I can't find any doctor in my area that will let me deliver normally, especially since it's been 5 years since my last c-section.
