sorry for the huge amounts of threads tonight laides  i'm soooo excited

so just wondering... are you veiling or not veiling???

i originally said no, but after finding my dress today, and then trying on a veil i realised, yes!! i'm a veil person! they are just so beautiful!!

haven't choose one yet, but i love the single tier with some sort of crystals in it! so exciting :D

also for brides already been, what did you do :D

No veil. I wasn't bothered about having one and every one I tried on was expensive so I thought what's the point when I would only wear it for a short time. It's completely a personal preference thing though. x

i'm going with a veil.

A simple, single layer, fingertip length veil with beads around the edges.

I had a veil (but it didn't go over my face) and a tiara :D I actually bought both of those off of ebay, much much cheaper than what you find in stores

I've been debating this, I think im gonna choose a dress first and see if a veil goes with it or not...

Or maybe have one but not over the face one.

Im not sure people have them at civil ceromonies? Anybody know?

i'm sure they do kim :) we're having a civil ceremony and i'm having a veil, tbh i like how it covers slightly a little arm  i hate my arms

ooo good tips vickie, thanks :D i too am having veil and tiara  def going to look on e-bay :D and i'm not having it cover my face either :D

oh pnut - sounds beautiful :cloud9: xx

im having a veil, i brought mine off ebay and i love it!!

No veil, just a circlet, which is being made for me by one of my very talented friends who are brilliant with chainmail!! I am considering having a big cape though as April can be a dodgy month weather wise and a cape would protect the satin of my dress should it rain!!!!

Beca

I didn't want a veil, but my friend (and bridesmaid) insisted on lending me hers as my something borrowed. I thought I would just try it on to see what it looked like and I think it made me look 'bridal'.
My dress had no train (it was like an ivory ballgown), so the veil really did make the whole ensemble complete.
It was a 2-tier elbow length veil with scattered crystals.

MUCH cheaper on ebay PB the ones I looked at in store were at least $100, I spent $20

thanks vickie, i had a look after you mentioned it and they look gorgeous and so much cheaper

binxyboo - what a beautiful veil! you looked gorgeous! xx

I had an ebay veil, brought it from Victorias Veils and it was about £25. Mine was a 2-tier fingertip in white with black satin edging and I wore it low on my head so it went straight down my back rather than billowing about my shoulders. I didn't use the blusher.

BTW we also had a civil ceremony and I kept my veil on all day and night, barely even noticed it was there by wearing it low.

thank you for sharing honey! you looked stunning! and such a beautiful veil :D x x x

I didn't have a veil but that was only because I had a little lace jacket to cover up my arms, and I thought it wouldn't look right with a veil. I think they look lovely xx

i had a full length veil but it drove me insane and i took it off half way through my pictures though because everyone kept standing on it and it drove me mad i wish i had a shorter one though
