Ventricals in brain Enlarged

Hi im 28 and half weeks had a growth scan yesterday which the sonographer has pointed out prominent enlarged ventricals in the brain?? She did not tell me the size i have follow up appointment next week . Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation Thanks xx

Hi hon, I just posted a new thread on this before I saw yours. I'm in a similar situ, baby's ventricles are 0.1mm above the normal range at 22w. We have a consultant appt on Thursday. Dr Google tells me that prognosis depends upon the size of the ventricles, whether they grow or shrink and whether it has been caused by chromosomal problems.... I hope they give you more info and good news next week - keep in touch x

Just wanted to let you know we got the all-clear on Friday. The vents seem to have reduced into normal, and part of the problem appears to be operator error - the ventricle they are measuring should be furthest from the U/S probe to get the best angle to measure it. Please let us know how you got on x
