My DH was just diagnosed with multiple varicose veins leading to our infertility issues(low motility) and is scheduled for surgery mid-may. The doctor says the surgery will fix infertility and we should be able to conceive after 2-3 months. I am happy we have answers and a solution to work towards but I am also super nervous. The surgery is one-day but will require 2-3 days of bed rest for DH and 2-3 months for overall recovery in addition, he is getting an incision that seems similar to a C-section but only on one side. DH is wants to start a family as much as I do and is happy to go through the surgery, but I still feel guilty for making him go to the doctor in the first place. Is anyone else out there dealing with this issue? Has anyone heard of this before or better yet heard of it working? Success stories are welcome.

Where are the veins? I had removal of veins and sclerotherapy on my leg veins. Why would this lead to infertility? and is this true in woman too?

Apparently, It is common for men to get VV in their testies which is why it effects fertility. Blood does not flow properly and the temps in that area are not regulated properly, making it too warm and causing the swimmers to be too relaxed. So although they are the same as what women get in their legs they only effect fertility in men due to location.
