Well, baby Alexandra Reynold decided to arrive a week early on 6th September (according to dh, due to the amount of chillis and spices he kept feeding me). Here's my birth story.
I woke at 9.30am and went to the bathroom to find I had a bloody show. I called the delivery suite who said I could have a few of these before labour started. OK, no problem I just decided to chill for the rest of the day.
At 6.30pm I felt as though my contractions started, lasting about 45secs every 10 mins. I called the delivery suite who advised to call when they hurt and were every 5 mins. They didn't hurt, were just uncomfortable and then I felt fine between them.
At 8ish they were every 5mins so called the delivery suite who said to call when they were painful. At 9.30pm I felt like I really needed a poo, and it was painful, so called again and this time told to come in. My waters also broke at this time. We got there at 9.45pm and Alexandra arrived at 10.28pm.
Active labour was classed as 38 mins long and as I couldn't slow my pushing down at the end I needed 2 stitches for a 1st degree tear. All in all I was lucky enough to get an easy labour, and a beautiful little girl.
