My OH made it fairly clear last night that whilst im pregnant, sex is probably not going to happen. Well, its been nearly 4 weeks since we last did it and as i am 35 weeks it could be another 12 weeks before i have recovered enough to have sex post pregnancy. I am so not willing to go without for that long so i am taking things into my own hands and buying a rabbit.:haha: Before i do tho is there any reason why i shouldnt? I can imagine it could harm baby any more than actual sex, but just thought id check! Thanks ladies.

I think they are pretty safe to use as long as you havent had any bleeding or complications. Just gotta make sure you clean it every time you use it but i guess you would anyway lol. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'd just go for a small clit vibrator rather than a rabbit at this stage

I think it's fine! Something small.

Just for curious. Why doesn't he want to have sex? :(

my OH and I havent dtd in 8 weeks now. That is definately down to him! In fact we have nothing sexual.

I have a small clit vibe I use instead- Its driving me insane as I just want him, but he is freaked out by it all as baby has shown some abnormalities from the 20 week scan. Apparently Ill get some when the baby needs to come out- I think Ill be a virgin again by then :haha:

I have a mini rabbit. Not invasive and just as effective. Highly recommended!!

As long as your waters haven't broken, using the rabbit shouldn't be a problem. It's the same as DTD with your OH in terms of "invasivness" lol.

In my opinion, Rabbits aren't worth the money. They're very OTT and I hardly ever used mine. I'm much happier with the tiny little bullet ones, or something slimmer with fewer bells and whistles :)

I really dont know! he keeps pretending hes up for it but then whenever i make any advances he brushes me off. Last night he said we couldnt because im pregnant so i have decided to give up trying. I do intend to make it clear that i have found an alternative to "entertain" myself!

So oh and I have not had a huge amount of sex throughout this pregnancy, we were scared in first tri that we might dislodge the baby. Got down to it a bit more in second tri, but as I have got bigger it has got more awkward.

Well it was a nice evening yesterday, so we decided to go for a walk through the fields near where we live to try and encourage baby to get a bit more engaged (only 1/5 at my appointment yesterday). On stumbling upon an overgrown field we ended up getting down and dirty! Well I must say, its been a few years since I have done anything like that... we came home and had another session... I think I can safely say we have both got our mojo back! :)

I realize this does not answer your question at all, but as well as having a bit of a sex brag, I guess what I was aiming at, is that you may find your OH gets back into it again before baby arrives.

Haha I made a joke to my OH today that bats would fly out of my vagina next time he went up there. :) We haven't done it in about a month or so as he's a bit freaked by how big my bump is now and the fact that his son is in there. It had not occurred to me to buy my own toy though... Hmm, now I'm thinking. ;)

Just been on the ann summers site, try the silicone one ;-) look at the swan one!!! £100!!!! Omg I would hope for that price it does the dishes too! Lol

I agree. I've had the same worry, too, about going into preterm labor by having an orgasm.

My SO still wants to do it (all his favorite positions aren't affected!) but it's harder for me to enjoy it with my current belly because it gets in the way, restricts position switching, etc. I worry that I'm squashing him on top, LOL!

Using a vibrator is every bit as safe as having penetrative sex with a partner.
I have two rabbits, and I'm a big fan. I have the Rampant Rabbit Threesome, which I don't think is sold anymore (it has two rabbits...one for clit stim and one for *ahem* bum fun!), and the lovely classic pink Rampant Rabbit. I've had my classic Rabbit for about seven years now and it's still going strong.
Rabbits are expensive, though, so you may prefer to go for a cheaper bullet-style vibe instead of splashing out on a Rabbit. The reason Rabbit vibrators are so effective is because the 'ears' stimulate the clitoris so well. A good bullet can do exactly the same job and get you off just as quickly, at about a quarter of the cost.

Whatever you go for, keep it clean. You don't need to buy the special vibrator wipes. Silicon vibrators can be washed off with warm water before and after use (obviously, if you use it on anyone else you should use a condom), and hard plastic bullet vibes can be cleaned with warm water and a bit of mild soap if you want. I've never used anything but warm water on any of my vibrators, and never had a problem. :)

my poor hubby then lol We haven't had sex in aaaages 1.because it doesn't feel the same for me atm and 2.because i don't fancy it and can't be bothered lol

i make sure i help him out regularly and apparently i have skills :haha: but as for me i'm not really bothered and will sort my self out if i need to :) xx
