Just a quickie, are vibrators still ok to use during pregnancy? We've not touched our toy box since getting bfp, but we'd like to, so are they safe or not does anyone know?
Thanks

I don't see why not! I've never used one during pregnancy tho.

I'm worried about introducing infection up there, but don't know if I need to be worried or not so playing it on the safe side.

I'm less worried about infection as you can clean them well. I'm more worried about the vibration sensation so close to the cervix. I worry that it may irritate the cervix! Not sure!

Been using one throughout, but not internally. Don't know if it would make a difference.

There shouldn't really be any problem as long as you aren't spotting & your doctor hasn't put you on restrictions. I've been using mine the whole time without issues.

DH and I still use our toy box. Since getting pregnant it seems my orgasms are harder to come by, and I've always had a harder time getting there but lately it's been ridiculously hard. We don't use the kind you insert however, just the kind that stimulates that most sensitive spot...I can't get there without having the vibration pressed against it.

I asked my midwife and she told me that as long as a woman is not restricted with sex, there is no reason why she cannot use toys.

I don't know, but just wanted to say that I giggled at "quickie" :haha:

I don't see why not, as long as its cleaned properly.

Thanks girls! It was the vibrations I was worried about, as I have a low lying placenta too. Funnily since about 10 wks I think I suffering from premature ejaculation for women!! It was easy before but now.....woooohooooo is all I can say! Lol

Baby's so well protected that they don't really feel the vibrations. The only thing is, you have to be careful if its quite solid, rather than silicone, you don't want to be too forceful. The cervix is more sensitive right now so you don't want to cause irritation.

Personally I wouldn't use it if you have a low lying placenta.

I used mine during the first trimester but nervous to use them now, only because my pregnancy is high risk. I don't see a problem with you using one, just make sure it's really clean. Maybe you should stick with clitoris vibrators only, like a bullet if you have one. I have a box full of different toys too but I just stuck with the external toys while pregnant.

I would keep it extternal because of the placenta. I do have to say I'm jealous at premature orgasms :haha: mine sure take a few mins of work Lol!

Lol I have no idea about the vibrator scenario but I wanted to say that I am also a premature ejaculator whilst pregnant and woooohhhoooook is definitely right  this thread made me giggle alot go all you ladies for having such a healthy sex life whilst pregnant. I unfortunately can't have sex at all this pregnancy as I bleed for 4 days frer every time so for safety we can't :( but good luck with it I hope you still get to stick to your fun.
