View count gone?

I just noticed that the view count for threads is gone?

Yes, the mods/admins decided to do away with it because it was very inaccurate.

lol, I was curious if anyone was even viewing a thread I had posted last night that go no responses.

I think its a good idea to get rid of it since people would get really upset if they had too many views and not enough responses, lol.

It wasn't that it was inaccurate but because members read far too much into the counter. If it had 30 views members thought it was read by 30 different individual members when the counter updated every view and refresh from members and guests. This sometimes caused some upset.
