and microwave steriliser.

Well I really really want these. With my daughter I had tommee tippee bottles and and electric steriliser. The teats kept collapsing and my daughter had terrible wind. Cant be doing with and electric steriliser either.

I just wanted to see what you thought of these and can you still put the bottles in the steriliser even though you can self sterlilise them?

I have been hearing that they can sometimes leak though? Whats this all about.

Its just I have seen a decent deal on them and need to make my mind up!

I used them to start off with, my son got on well with them and it's easy to just bung them all in the microwave - but the leaking drove me insane!!! Have switched to Dr Browns now :D x

Mine leak at times and there are so many bits to put together! I like the normal MAM bottles which is just one piece so its so much easier to clean and doesnt leak. I think their teats are great though.

Yeah, I looked at the normal bottles on he mam website but it says from 2 months onwards.

i'm selling a full set inc steriliser if you are interested, i loved these bottles but my little one refused to feed from them after a few months

It's because the teat that comes with them is big I think, you could always buy size 1 teats to go withthem x

I loved the MAM self sterilising bottles. I had them for when LO was 1st born. Great design and good to prevent colic. The teat shape is brilliant too. The only problem i had with them was if you dont let the water cool down enough they leak. And when you warm them up they can leak aswel. It got that annoying i switched to Avent. Overall there good bottles though.

I have them. LO eats quicker and gets less wind than with avent.

I heat them in the microwave. I use the bottle warmer at night and they do leak a bit but its worth it as LO has such a good latch with them. I think we may try stage 2 teats in a week.or 2 xx

I used these first with DD2 and I really didnt get on with them. I was worried about water leaking into the bottle when heating/cooling and I also didnt think the anti-colic action worked that well. DD2 loved the teats so we switched to the regular MAM bottles and she was fine, still uses them now. xxx

We used one for a little while. I honestly think that Avent are better. Ours leaked a lot, and I think DD ended up swallowing less air with the Avent ones then the MAM ones. I did like the convenience of them - don't need a steriliser of any type to use them. But to me, they were a let down.

we are using them and my son loooves them! I have NO leaking problems at all! never had! I always make sure that I push the little plasticy bit in the very bottom down before using it!

We loved them too - we never needed a steriliser once we started using them!

This is probably a bit late but hopefully will help people looking in the future

I just spoke to MAM and they confirmed the anti colic self sterlising bottles can be sterilised in a sterilser

I havent read the other posts but I'll give my view on the bottles.

We got loads of these bottles for free when we went to the baby show and I loved the design, colour etc so we brought all sizes, teats etc....however they leaked on us nearly every time we used them. I wasted so much of my expressed breast milk so we have decided to give up and get tommee tippee as our LO prefers these and they are less hassle.

The teats arent the most comfy either as leave a little red mark on my LO's mouth.

I would try one and see how you go....we are going to sell our 'kit' as they arent working for us, but everyones different. The ammount of parts are a pain too as you have to dismantle them all the time and take up loads of room in the steraliser.

We didnt get hte microwave steraliser but we did get hte manual breast pump which isnt that bad, just make sure you screw the bottle base on tight so they dont leak.

We used these until we noticed they were letting water in so my LOs feeds had unsterilised water in them. I have been in contact with mam about this and they offered to send some replacements but we had already bought some Avent bottles by then. Surely this is a seriouse design flaw?

We use these and have found none better, Never had a leak problem once. Compared to a lot of other bottles we got when companies had freebie offers on these are by far the best for us.

We have been using these bottles since our son was born, so about 10 months.

They only leak if you haven't pushed all the plastic seals together tightly and haven't screwed the bottle up tightly, or if the white plastic seal is not completely dry.

I can't compare them with any other bottles though, as we have ONLY used MAM bottles since birth and ds is now starting on the fun of drinking from cups etc.

I have used them over 3 months now and still love them. So handy for going out and if I've forgotten to sterilise bottles in the middle of the night.

The only time I have ever had a problem with leaking is when I've let the bottle get too hot in the bottle warmer and cos it's so hot it starts to expand if that makes sense. I use them 6-8 times a day and haven't had a leak in a couple of months at least x

I took mine back as they leaked so much it drove me mad! Bought the bottles and steriliser kit from mothercare at half price so was £35 instead of £70!

Iv been using these from birth and mine leak all the time even when i have pushed the little white thing in as much as i can.
Also is it just me, but the teats are huge!! xxx
