Ok i was just wondering something and wanted to know if any of you girls knew the answer. I have been told by my FS to take Berocca once a day (a tablet that is full of the B group vitamins) anyway as im sure you know if you have ever taken it, that it causes your wee to be fluroescent yellow.

Anyway it just occured to me that it could possibly affect an OPK result......or am i just being dumb??

Does anyone know or has anyone used OPK's while your wee has been this fluro colour???

Thanks.

from my understanding...when you take a vitamin and it changes the color of your pee that much, that means its not being absorbed into your system properly and its mostly coming out in your pee. i dont know much about the product you are taking but do you know if it is synthetic or not? you want to get the best products when it comes to vitamins and making sure they are as natural as possible. in regards to you opk question..i dont have an answer for you..hope someone else does

sorry my computer just went mental, and posted the same thing 3 times......sorry!

i personally wouldnt trust a Bayer product...i have done some research into that company and it wasnt pretty. If i were you...i would go to a health store tomorrow and ask about the same type of product and ask about which ones are more natural to take etc. It really does make a world of difference because it really is pointless spending the money and taking something that doesnt get absorbed properly into your system.

this product could be fine...but i would at least just double check with someone at a health store.

Ok thanks, i didnt get it from Bayer i just googled it to show you what it was and that was the first site that came up. It is a well known product and i got it from a chemist my fertility specialist told me to take it everyday. I will start OPK's tomorrow so i guess i will soon find out.

Thanks again for replying xxx

okie dokie...i hope it helps and hopefully someone can come along to answer you opk question. :hugs:

All I have to add is that my prenatals have B Vits in them and my 1st wee after taking them is flourescent. In addition, I get + OPKs at the correct time and can see a fade-in and fade-out pattern.

That being said, I don't think the Vits affect OPKs but that's just my opinion.

And for the record, I have never gotten pg using the OPK timing method though. I'm waiting on my CBFM and then I'll be able to compare.

I agree with BumpyCake. The OPK's are looking for LH in your urine, so I doubt the Vit B's could affect this. I taken them, but do not use OPK's.

I started taking Vitamin B Complex this cycle. My wee is bright yellow! I have been using OPKs and my CBFM and they are working as normal. The vit b doesn't seem to be affecting them x

dont know the answer sorry. but just wanted to say ladies put the OH on them too. zinc is so important for spermies. few months following hubby being on multivitamins we got our bfp x

I'm on a ttc break at the mo, but have used cbfm whilst taking B-vits which turned my wee neon and cbfm still gave the expected results. I did try cheapie opks before cbfm and personally didn't get on with them. I've had 2 bfp's since taking B-vits & using cbfm unfortunately not sticky but when able to ttc again will be taking b-vits with cbfm and it WILL be sticky! lol I don't personally think the neon side of it affects the sticks at all.

Hi there, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Berroca and its a great way to take B vitamins. All vits are packaged into some tablet or such like, by definition tablets are not "natural"!!! By they are an easy way to administer vitamins.
