So I spoke to the RN today at my doctor's office, and I was told that I would have to wait two cycles before trying again. This frustrates me on so many levels. I really need to hear some pros/cons for waiting or trying again right away. God, this whole ordeal just seems to get worse and worse.

I got the same exact instruction! Ugh still waiting for AF!!

Ha! My doctors told me to wait 3 months / 6 months ('your body needs to rest, bla-bla-bla...').
I would be HAPPY to hear to wait only 2 months.

The midwife at the epu said to me only wait 1 cycle as your body will have reset it's self. But I can't try for another 2 months yet, as I get married in June and probably wouldn't fit into my dress. ;-)

Sorry for you loss.

I was told to wait until I had one regular period again but in all honesty, that first cycle was really short and I O'd really early. So, maybe it would have been better to wait 2. It sounds like your doctor just wants to be sure that your body has time to heal.

I was told the same thing, but we started trying again after my first AF, which was actually really light and very different from my usual. Second AF came just 9 days after I ovulated (my luteal phase is usually 10-11 days) and was heavy and painful, so I think my body was still not back to its pre-MC balance. I think it does take some people several months for everything to balance out so that a BFP is possible again.
