I am waiting on a financial aid refund from school, but I desperately need money NOW. Is there any loan I could get or something to help me out financially and pay them back?

Please help if you can, I'm so desperate.

:hugs: Sorry hun. You can try to go to a bank or credit union and apply for an unsecured loan. They do exist but with the current financial climate those are really hard to get. You can also try to do a collatoralized loan through a pawn shop if you have anything of value like a piece of jewelry. You give them the jewelry, they give you money, you pay them back plus interest and they give the jewelry back. It's not ideal by any means but it's an option.

EDIt - Sorry just seen you are in the states! Apologies UK advice from me xx

I know it may be a bit late, but look into a "Crisis loan" the Govt/job centre deal with them I think.

I havent done it personally, but my friend just applied and got one.

xx

im uk based too so cant really offer any advice re places to approach etc etc but, tbh without any real info provided it will be difficult for anyone to offer any real helpful advice

you dont mention if you have a job, your own place, a partner

The US doesn't really have much on the whole for emergency money needs. It's ask friends or family. Michigan has a state emergency relief (SER) program to help with some things but you have to be very very low income to qualify for it. It might be helpful for the OP to check if their state has something like it though.
