We live in a cold 2 bed flat, trying to get somewhere else ASAP with baby no 2 on the way. Over the past few weeks I've noticed he's waking because he is cold, i put him in my bed and he will fall straight back to sleep! Any ideas what i can do, he won't keep his blankets on either.. :(

Gro bags!

Best things ever!

Our LO used to wake up cold (right from day one actually) and we put her in them as soon as she was big enough ans she slept so much better as she was warm

I use sleeping bags too.

On cold nights LO has on a vest, babygrow and a sleeping bag over the top

Put him in either a grow bag or one of those thick fleecy sleepsuits over his regular PJ's.

I'm not a fan of grow bags as they dont cover the arms & they get cold too.

I saw a lovely padded sleep suit in mothercare the other day, i'm thinking of getting that for Alfie for when its colder. At the moment our house is still warm.

My LO will not sleep in grobags anymore, blankets stay on for all of 2 mins the amount she wriggles around, and pyjamas she just pulls the bottoms off :dohh: so, while our house isn't that cold, the temp drops at night and she wakes up where she's a bit chilly.

As others have suggested, perhaps a fleecy sleepsuit is the way to go? We've enticed our LO to wear one by making a big deal of the pattern or characters on it "Wow! Look at all the pretty stars/fluffy sheep/etc on your SPECIAL sleepsuit" and now she asks to wear them. They seem to keep her toasty all night.

In our old flat it was cold especially at night and would put w in fleece or padded sleep suits and vests. Layers are the way!

Mothercare have long sleeved growbags on sale at the minute. I use fleecy sleepsuits as my Lo wont keep blankets on either and hes a bit big for growbag now

I would say the fleecy babygros that you put on over pi's etc - my son loved his and wore them up until this last winter.
I echo the fact the grobags leave their arms cold

Like jensonsmummy says - you can get sleeping bags with full arms on for winter

Didn't see that post

I know children can still walk in the grobags but they look much cuter in the fleecy babygros
