Hi, everyone! I just tested today with Walgreens +/- blue dye test. After searching the internet I've realized blue dye tests are notorious for false positives. I got a very thin blue line slightly left of center in the test window that showed up within 3 minutes. Not sure what this means. Bfp or just another example of a false positive? You can barely see the line in the first pic (sorry, bad camera), but it has become much darker (still thin) in the past few hours (see second pic). I tried a second test late tonight (same brand, bought a 2pack) and it appears to be bfn. My period was due yesterday and today I just had a little pinkish/brown spotting, no pad necessary. My guess is I'll see a full period show up in the next day or too, but just curious what your experiences with similar tests might be. Thanks!

Note: The first pic was taken within 10 minutes of testing. The second was from about 2 hours later.

FX for you!!!!!

Use pink dye! ;) read
my boycott blue dye post lol. Good luck. Hope ur preg

I see the line but it could be an evap...but maybe not so fx'ed for you!!

i se ethe line in both pics hun fx its yr bfp xx

Looks good, only one thing for it.. :test: again!! xx

can really see it on the second one!! :) good luck!! xx test with a pink dye xx :flow:

please please PLEASE don't trust those tests.....I went through this only a few weeks ago with the same brand test....even EPT.......i got those exact same lines even a little thicker and they were all evaps....I had 7 come up that way.....my suggestion is to forget you ever took that test and get FRER......please don't put yourself through the trauma like I had to go through.....cause I'm not pregnant and found out through blood work.....good luck sweetie!

I agree with all the ladies on here. RE-:test: with a PINK dye test. It looks like a typical Blue Dye Evap but on the first picture the line does look a little thicker so maybe not???? Do yourself a favor and go buy a different test and take it. Then update us!!! :) Good Luck :dust:

Thanks ladies. Going to buy a pink dye test today and retest. I've continued light spotting for a second day, which while unusual for me, makes me fairly certain its an evap and another example of BAD BAD BAD blue dye tests. Will keep you posted though!

Well....no need to retest...af came  Still a lighter period than usual, but af nonetheless. Lesson learned: just say no to blue dye tests. I never knew til now how bad they are. But thank you all for your thoughts and well wishes. You are all amazing. BABY DUST!

Auw sorry hun! I got the same thing on that exact test...even showed it to oh...who told me I should know better.... whyyy r blue tests still on the market????????

I wonder what it would take to get those evil tests off the shelf.....where would you start you know?

sorry to hear af got you! :( chin up tho its the start of a new cycle :)

I just pee'd on a Walgreens test and it was positive.....I am in SHOCK? I had 3 days heavy bleeding and few days of spotting....and I felt strange so I took another test and BAM....but its soooooo faint....I am confused and maybe your AF isn't your AF I'd test again in a few days if she never shows proper face.....I would be like 24ish dpo or so! WEIRD...I DOUBT I'm pregnant but just saying blue dye is STUPID...I am going to take a proper PREGNANT or NOT PREGNANT test in the AM I will let you all know in a new post what happens....but yep I would RETEST WITH A FRER!!! Just to make sure sweetie!!

What should we do about the blue evil tests?!
Maybe a petition of some sort?

Just send mass complaints to the companies that produce them. Give them a really bad name. Hope it's not your AF but a slight blip, see how long it lasts and if not long at all then re test with a FRER.
