Is anyone else feeling like a walking zombie? I just found out on Sunday that I am pregnant and I am 4 weeks, 2 days. My first symptom that I might be pregnant was being exhausted about 3 days before I found out. I'm still really early into my pregnancy, but I feel like I can barely function at certain parts of day (including at work, which is not good)!
Did anyone else experience this and if so, when did it go away? I've cut out all caffeine and have tried walking to wake myself up, but this has been a temporary fix. I'm surprised i'm even awake at 8 pm to write this!

Thanks for any responses!

I understand I felt tired and worn down all day when i was 4 weeks along. I started making sure i ate every 2 hours to keep what little energy i had up. Now into my 8th week i get tired around 3pm each day, my head is fuzzy, i forget things, and its hard to focus. According to the doctor its normal. What joys pregnancy brings :).

I'm still shattered all the time :( it's one symptom that hasn't come and gone but I have noticed it is a bit better than it was as between about 4-6ish weeks I would have a nap when DS went down in the afternoon, now I don't nap I just lie down and rest. The fatigue really gets me down sometimes though as I wake up tired and have that fuzzy head, dragging yourself around feeling a lot of the time. I know it will clear soon, as soon as that placenta takes over, I remember feeling so much better a few weeks into 2nd tri- just seems like forever when you're in it. All worth it though :)

Thanks ladies! I just wanted to be sure that there was some relief in the future, even if it is feeling tired more towards the evening or just having to lay down rather than pass out! I know this will all be worth it in the long run!

Thanks again!!

First Tri: Exhausting.
Second Tri: Better.
Third Tri: Exhausting
:(

YES! I am absolutely shattered and it is starting to get me down.

I run my own business and am usually very motivated and energetic but I just feel like lying on the sofa all day and I have to drag myself around!

Looking forward to (hopefully!) feeling better in the next few weeks!

I am def feeling the tired feeling! I just cant seem to not be tired! haha they werent kidding when they said you were going to feel fatigue! I am about 11 weeks and ready for this trimester to be over so I can have a little bit of energy back! :)

I feel like I could lay down and sleep for the rest of my pregnancy at this point. Also because Im starting to have a lot of trouble sleeping. I wake up so much to pee and then cant get back into a deep sleep. So Im always tired. I cant wait till 2nd tri!! 4 weeks thank god!!

I feel like a zombie too lol. Its annoying because i wake up stupid early full of energy and ready to go! Once ive gotten up, had a cup of tea...im ready for bed again lol. My eyes are definitely burning these lsat few days!

Totally a walking zombie! I'm 7 weeks pregnant, and can get through my work day, but not much else. I never knew that being this tired was such a significant symptom of pregnancy...

When my aunt was telling me the only bad thing about her first three months was how tired she was I was like yeh yeh it cant be that bad, I can honestly say I am shocked at how tired I am, I usually suffer from insomnia, since about 5-6 weeks I have slept 12 hours each night, Ill get up for about 4/5 hours and must go to sleep for an hour, its driving me crazy, I keep breaking down in tears to OH because I literally feel like I cant walk outa the house without it draining me.... I am nearly 11 weeks so I really am hoping come the next week or so I start to perk up a bit,

I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and I've been tired almost everyday!!! I barely make it through the day at work then I come home and rest on the couch poor hubby has to do everything around the house now because I'm just too tired to move haha

I'm so happy to know i'm not alone! I thought a part of it was that I was waking up 4-5 times a night, but last night I woke up only once and I still could barely function today. I used to go to bed between 11-1 am, but these days, i'm surprised if i'm awake past 10!
I know it's all worth it, but I hope we all get some relief soon (especially those of you who have been dealing with this weeks longer than me)!
Growing a human is tough work! :winkwink:

I just slept for 10 hours and have woken up tired- this is really starting to get me down :(

I am now 8 weeks and still incredibly tierd, i cant get through the day without naps, i sleep more than my 2 year old these days

Growing a human is tough work!!!! I was with my friend the other day who has a three week old, I was saying I just cant get over how sleepy I am to which she replyed " I know but look at what your body is doing" as she points to the baby... I guess when you think of it like that we should jyst sleep for 9 months lol

Ha ha! I am so happy I started this thread because it is so nice to talk to people in the same position (dh is being super amazing and supportive, but I feel like i'm complaining too much)!
It is true though that our bodies are doing so much, so it's understandable!
LOL Agiboma-Me and dh had discussed trying to have our second shortly after we have our first, but i'm not so sure i'll be up for it anymore. Either that or hopefully we can all be on the same nap schedule! :smug:

Hey, sleeping 9 months will at least prepare us for all the sleep we're about to NOT have! :)

i am in week 6 and only day feel exhaustion. i'm sitting at my desk at work in a daze. i just want to go home and go to bed, but i can't do that everyday i feel like this as i won't get paid!

for the past week i've noticed my brain is a bit fuzzy and along with the nausea i can't seem to do my maths work on the train in the mornings and evenings like i usually do. i just have to close my eyes and breath deeply. i work full time and am doing 4 courses at university (mature student studying to be a secondary maths teacher) so i can't not do work!

right now i'm contemplating asking to work through lunch and go home an hour early but scared they'll start to suspect as i've already had a bit of time off for doctors appointments and scans.

also had wanted to go to the gym for a brisk walk or cross-trainer session but after my 15min walk from the station to work where my body felt like lead i think maybe i shouldn't!

I am 6 weeks 1 Day..... and exhausted! Im like a zombie at work today! I cannot motivate myself to do anything!.... paper work is piling up on my desk but I just can't get into the swing of things! I just want to put my head on my desk and sleep!.... this baby growing is seriously tiring!
