Hi i'm looking for someone to be my TTC buddy.

i'm on Metformin and would love someone to be friends with on here who i can talk too etc..

xx

Hi There Becci!

Hope you're well. I've been on metformin since April 2011. I must admit I'm not very good at it. I'm suppose to take 1500mg/day but some days I just can't handle side effects. Good news is that I got pregnant in July 2011 .. only a few months after taking metformin. But sadly, I lost the baby and I have been trying since. I'm also taking Femara but only started femara in December.

Any questions, feel free to ask. I'm no expert by any means but this website and all the girls here have helped me a ton! Lot's of support here :)

How are you like metformin?

I noticed that you are due to ovulate in 5 days! Have fun BD'ing :)

Hi Ladies,

I started my Metformin about 6 weeks ago. It's done wonders for my cycles. I too suffer with the side effect still, and only take half a table 3 x a day. The reason i take half, is because i'm such a baby and cant swallow them. I'm on the slow release tables, so figure if i only take half, when i chew them, i wont be over dosing.

MrsCompass - so sorry to hear that you had a MC! but good to know the Met is working for you. You say you are on Femara. is that the same as Clomid? I'm also on Clomid, currently on my 5th round. I'm ovulating but no BFP.

Hello :)

awww thank u for commenting on here :) nice to have some people who are in the same boat as me :)

i have found metformin brilliant. i had bad side effects for the first month but now i have none.

i just hoping to get pregnant real soon we have been trying and waiting for so long :(

hows things with u? xx

I am on metformin too, 1500mg a day (taken as three tablets of 500mg), i have been taking it 11 months. The symptoms sux to begin with and i still have to be careful what i eat, but it helped reguate my cycle and helped me lose nearly 4 stone!

My friend was also on it and i bugged her to take it regularly, she recently got her bfp after two years ttc and they believe the met helped!

Hello ladies,
I too am on Met and have been on it for a month now and I am hoping that my periods will regulate soon. I take 1000mg a day and I have had no symptoms at all, which is good news. For those of you that are taking Met, I would suggest taking it right after a meal. That is what I have been doing and it seems to be working. I have been TTC since August of 2011 and it has been a struggle. The doctors wanted me to try TC naturally for at least 6 months after coming off of BCP's. I went to the doctor at the end of April and that is when they put me on Met for high insulin.
