How do you all heat your milk up?
I am currently giving breast and formula via bottles.

For breast milk are u using bottle warmers or jug of hot water?

For formula are u making the bottles of formula in advance and then heating those when u need them, or are u keeping cooled boiled water, and then adding more hot water and then the formula powder so it the right temperature when you need it?

just want to know if I need to buy a bottle warmer or not bother

thanks

I generally make bottles a little in advance, but only two at a time do they aren't hanging round for long. I boil the water, let it cool for a bit, add the powder, cool it in cold water a little til it's not steaming anymore then keep in the fridge. To warm it I just put boiling water in a jug and then pop the bottle in. We have a bottle warmer that came with our steriliser set but we haven't even got it out of the box as the instructions seem to indicate the timing settings are based on bottles that are full, we use 9oz bottled but only make up 4oz at the moment. Think our bottle warmer will go on eBay!!

I wouldnt bother with a bottle warmer tbh. The closest thing I got to that is Tommee Tippee flask that I use to heat the bottles when we're out (Evie will NOT take cold or room temp bottles)

As for the making up of bottles, I pour the required amount of cooled boiled water into the bottles and leave them on the side, ready to heat up. Then, when Evie wants a bottle, I heat up the water in the bottle (I used to use a jug and hot water but now use the microwave) then add the formula. I've always done it this way with Evie and it's always worked well for us

i make my bottles in advance, not too many, using cooled boiled water, formula and then putting into the fridge, to heat them up we either use bottle warmer (at nite) and microwave during the day (only for a few seconds).

i put 1 into the microwave the other day and left it on for 40 secs, milk boiled all over the microwave :dohh: but at least the bottle didnt melt :haha:
