Ladies! I'm 3 days overdue now, and today my two year old hit me on my eyeball by accident. I'm positive she scratched my cornea, and this pain is unbelievable. I tried sleeping but the pain of having my eye closed makes my eye weep and it's just unbearable. So I'm sitting in a dim room with sunglasses on squeezing playdough like a stress ball trying to remember if labor was even this painful the first time around. They say most scratches heal within 24 hours so I'm praying a night of sitting up leads to a sleepy day with my toddler and maybe sleeping tomorrow night and then going into labor? I just have to laugh because I don't know what else to do!!!

poor you. I've been 2 weeks overdue and I've had an eye injury (not fun) but not at the same time! Just try not to rub it! Hope you feel better (and go into labour) soon.

Poor you My Mum was recently accidentally poked in the eye by her OH and she ended up being referred to the eye clinic and 3 weeks on is still on eye drops. He actually grazed her eyeball and it's been taking ages to heal due to her having dry eyes. If you haven't already, I would go get it checked out, especially as you have labour about to happen. My Mum was also given eye drop anaesthetic by the eye specialist which would offer an hour's relief when the pain got really bad. I really feel for you, my Mum has a decent pain threshold and she said it was awful. I hope it heals quickly xxx
