Was your 2nd baby a quicker labour?

For ladies who have had their 2nd baby...was your labour better and quicker?
I gave birth naturally 3 months ago and my labour was 7 1/2 hours long...altho the pain was awful i think i want to go through it just one more time...i am hoping that the 2nd time round will be quicker? xx

My second labour was a little quicker but only by about 20 mins. They was both quickish labours though (the second was not far over 3 hours) so that could be why there wasnt too much difference.

my 1st labour was 18 hours?! or something like that, 2nd stage was an hour?!
2nd was 5hrs with 4min 2nd stage
3rd was 3hrs19mins with 2min 2nd stage

My first labour was 35 hours, so long due to having pethidine and it stopping my contractions and then having to have a drip to start them again, was an awful painful labour and ended with a ventouse delivery. I was adament I was never going through it again but changed my mind and my second labour was 1 hour 28 minutes, I only just made it to the hospital in time then gave birth on the floor with no option of any pain relief - If only they could all be that quick!

Yes. First labour was 12 hours, second labour was 3.5 hours so quite a difference.

my first labour was 4 hours.
my second labour was 52 mins.
so yeah mine was quicker second time around hope this helps xx

my first was 13 days early labour and then waters were broken and after 7 hours he was born.

my second was 4 hours start to finish

My second was definitly a lot easier and quicker, although she was 4 days later than my son xx

First labour was 6 hours contacting but not yet 3 cm then went from 3-7 in space of an hour he was born 5 1/2 hours after that so 12 hours total but only counted as 6 hours established labour.
My second was 5 hours, only at 2 cm, then waters broke right after examination that said I was 2 cm and he was born 40 mins later!!!!!!!
I'm not sure I want the next one to arrive any quicker. I felt so unwell going form 2cm to bubs born in 40 mins.
