Anyone uses them? are they any good? im looking in too using them when i have the baby, i used dispoable ones last time and i went threw sooo many it just seemed a waste! but i dunno if the washable ones would be as good?? + how many would i need? X

I don't personally use breastpads but we bought some from Philips they seem rather good :)

I've been using washable ones from Gerber. I only really leak in the evening (TMI!) so I don't need to change them multiple times during the day- one pack of 3 sets has been enough as long as I remember to handwash them at the end of the day. Overall they have been pretty good- they have only leaked once on me but I was pretty engorged and the floodgates openned when she started to feed on the other boobie. My only complaint is that they can look a little lumpy under my bra if I don't take the time to adjust them.

I use washable pads (Avent I think). I wasn't sure, but I am won over! They are much more comfortable, more absorbent, less sweaty and they show less through my clothes. I am really pleased with them, and would never go back to disposable ones.

I use washable pads. I have the avent ones but they show a bit under my clothes coz they don't curve round my boobs very well. I also have mothercare own brand ones which I LOVE

I use washables and disposables.

I find the disposables start to smell ALOT faster than the washables, but are very absorbent. The washables tend not to be as absorbent for me since whenever I seem to leak, I leak aLOT... its like someone forgot to turn the hose off... :dohh::rofl: so Im not sure they would be that way for everyone.

My final vote would probably be for washables, even if you need to swap them out more often than a disposable, at least you can wash them and use them again, right?

Congrats on your bump, Zara! :)

:hugs:

Thanks ladies! think i'll buy a pack then and buy a pack of disposable ones too just incase, i'm definatly willing too give them a go tho! and i dont mind hand washing them every night really it doesnt bother me! I just remember when i got sore nipples last time the disposable ones stuck too me and made it worse!

I tend to do a load of washing every day as we get through a lot of clothes since having LO. I've got three sets of pads (so 3 in total) and I stick them in the washing machine. I've not run out yet, but do keep a disposable box just in case.
