does anybody know how to do this? we have a samsung tv (about 2 years old!) flat screen.

my laptops toshiba. anybody know how to do this with a cable?!

My hubby said you need to check your computer an tv for monitor ports then connect them with a VGA cable .....cost about a fiver from Asda.

Hope this is what you mean

If you have a hdmi socket on the tv and laptop then you connect a hdmi lead into them both. If you want the sound to come through the tv then you need the jack to phono ( I think thats what its called ) and it plugs into the earphone socket on the laptop and into the tv.

we used hdmi socket but now we have tv with a USB port, its soooo much easier!

We have a Sumvision HD Media Player which plugs into the back of the TV either via HDMI or Scart. You then put movies, music, pics whatever you want onto memory stick or SD card with USB adaptor & plug in into the media player. It's really small, about the size of mobile phone. It just saves plugging the laptop in the TV then fiddling about with it.

We use a HDMI cable, sooo cheap and does the job well!

You need a HDMI cable... OH has a gold plated one or something, I don't know  if you press the source button on the remote it flicks through different channels and then your laptop screen should appear on your tv when it's on the right channel x

We use HDMI but if you don't have that you can use VGA cable, think they are quite cheap now. I love doing it lol do it nearly every night :)
