Waters breaking in certain shops - do you get £500??

Just wondered if there is any truth in this...

I have heard that if your waters break in mothercare, marks&spencers, supermarkets etc that you get £500 or gifts worth £500...?

Is this true? Has it happened to anyone?

I might start hanging round in mothercare a lot if it is!!!!

i'v heard it but i dont know anyone who its actually happend to! i thought my waters broke in asda when i was in the early part of labour tho (they didnt mind) i know i wouldnt have been asking any one for my £500!

I am going up in a min anyway and as I am in slow labour lets hope they break lol

John Lewis gives you a gift bag if your waters break in the store but it is at the managers discretion. That I do know (my friends waters broke there and she was expecting a shopping spree or a voucher worth a lot and was disappointed with the gift bag haha)

Tesco's do. Asda do but it depends what management say.

Mothercare/ELC/Adams/M&S do not.

Lol. Think it's at the managers discretion like in John Lewis. You'll expect a few free nappies at least lol. I use to hang round the shops when I was preggo with Holly, hoping my waters broke so I could grab a freebie (all women love freebies! lol) but my waters broke early morning when I was in bed three days after xmas so it wasn't to be.

I was thinking this. You wouldn't want to be waddling over to customer services asking them if they'll give you anything when you're wet, possibly in labour and probably will, to most people, be looking like you've wet yourself!!

I am so worried about my waters breaking in public! I had a dream that they broke while at the cinema watching a film and it freaked me out! Also, I am a teacher and I am worried in case they break infront of a class full of kids! They all think it's hilarious that it could happen and the older ones have nominated a student in each class to go get help and one to keep me calm! Bless them! Think if they broke in a shop I would just want to get out asap!!
