hi,

for the past 3 days baby has decided that the top of my bum/lower back is the most comfy place to lay. (he has been here on/off for a few weeks but mvoes away). its starting to hurt when i walk and i cant sit for very long.

he is still "moving" as in hands/feet etc, so i know he's ok. its just really uncomfortable where he is especially as i have back problems anyway. paracetamol are not touching the pain in my back as no where near as strong as what i usually take.

i really have no ideas on how to get him off my back. do you?

Spend a lot of time on all fours with your bum in the air, that should help, hope it does hun x

Fizzy drinks, orange juice, sugary sweets...that normally makes baby shift about alot!

problem with that is IF my main back pain kicks in i'm stuck like it until OH gets home at gone 8pm.

i cant have much sugary stuff as i end up with a heartburn type thing.

Try an apple. They get my little one moving all the time. Hopefully that kind of sugar doesn't give you heartburn. OR.... ice water does the same, gets my little guy moving. Not sure it it will help him change positions, but it gets mine jumping around!

Good luck

try the sugary stuff...even if you get heartburn as u can take gaviscon before hand or after! :D xx

well i have rang the mat unit and all the day unit can suggest is a long hot bath and to stay put even if i go dizzy!!! baby wont like the heat and will move. IF the pain gets too bad take paracetamol - she wouldnt listen that paracetamol are NOT doing anything as i have a bad back and my usual pain killers are almost morphine!

bath not a good idea with 2 kids in the house and OH at work until gone 8pm. they wont be able to help if anything happens.

i have eaten OH's easter eggs from fridge and all it has done is got me a few hard "hits or kicks" on the front, he is still firmly on my bum/back.

Wont the sugary stuff just make baby wiggle temporarily? Could you go swimming, that encourages them to move round the same as a bath with lots of water covering your bump x
