will we be entitled to ctc or anything? We keep getting different answers, thanks for any replies x

my hubby earns that we get the minimum ctc and thats £10 per week

ah better than nothing i suppose. Did u qualify for the sure start grant? X

i didnt apply coz i didnt know about it with my first but after looking at it now i dont think we would because we are on the lowest band of ctc and you have to be on the higher band i think.

No harm in trying though if you think you are eligible

We have a combined income of around 55k and we get £20 a week in CTC

eh how does that work then? you get £20 and earn 55k... boony earns 27k and gets a 10er? its so confusing!! x

It depends on how old your LO is. Under one and you get paid higher rate so £20 a week over and it goes down to £10 I think. If i remeber correctly if you earn between £15,000 and £60,000 its the same. Massive difference between the two and I really dont see how they can justify paying the same to a family on 15k aswell as 60k I dont know!!!
Sorry side rant! x

yeah, its cos bubbas under 1. But as im on mat leave our income is 30k, so we do appreciate the extra money :)

we have an income of £40k and get £45 per month, it was £85 per month but just went down although shes not 1 till june so i dunno how it works out.

When I spoke to the bloke on the phone about the ins and outs he told me that if you earn between £20k and £50k there is absoloutely no difference in what you get for CTC. We also wouldn't get any help with childcare unless it cost us something ridiculous like £190 a week, in which case we'd get an extra £10 a week. I kid thee not.
