weight gain

Hello ladies, I hope im posting this at the right forum. My exclusively breastfeeding baby is gaining weight rapidly. He was born at 34 weeks weighing 2.66 kg and now at his 6 weeks check up he was 5kg. Is this normal weight gain? I feel its a bit too much

If the doctor isn't concerned about it, then I wouldn't be. My son was 18 lbs at his 2 month check up!

BF babies tend to put on weight quickly at the start and then taper off to be about the same as FF babies by about 6 - 8 months. It is completely normal for that weight explosion at the start. If your doctor is not worried, then just enjoy it
