Ok so I lift weights - heavy weights but now I find I am feeling lost with my workouts. I don't want to push too hard but at the same time I don't want to lose all the gains I've made with my workouts.

I feel like I've totally lost all my motivation to workout (can't focus on losing weight or making strength gains anymore).

Anyone else?

not familiar with weight lifting... except maybe my own backside... and now my ever growing belly !!!!

I know that your ligaments in pregnancy become very loose and unstable, and I'd be concerned about doing some damage that way.

There is a fitness instructor on here somewhere..... let me go look........

here ya go... the lady who started this thread is a fitness trainer.... might know more... :)

I read somewhere that if you do high numbers of reps (i.e. can lift the weight comfortably for 12-15 reps) and you're careful to warm up/down and don't do it more than twice a week it should be ok. Obviously stop if pain/bleeding etc. I think it was in my pregnancy bible...

Honestly I'd speak to your doctor first. Depending on your level of fitness pre-pregnancy they may deem it perfectly safe for you to go ahead and lift weights. But it's always best to ask and be safe.

all i changed was squatting, i just do heav leg presses and light weight on the squat rack. everything else im still lifting heavy to failure. oh, except back bc the hammerstrength have stomach pads that push in so i stopped those. Do military things like pull ups and pushups and walking lunges. bodyweight exercises are fantastic! and run.

btw, i felt the same way a few weeks ago and then i decided my body would tell me when i was pushing too hard. i do what i want and my biggest problem has been having to go pee way more while im at the gym and burping all the time when i run!
