Since 11ish today i got this like lump stuck in my thoart it feel likes n really uncomfortable and making me feel sick and nearly being sick.

I've read online it's heartburn and to take gaviacon and common in pregnancy.
I'm just wondering if you'd have the same and what else apart from gaviacon and renie can I take/drink??

I had heartburn few days ago but was more top my Tummy/ chest and a lot more acid/painful but today is lump in my thoart like food stuck :(

Really would love some advise causing me so much pain today :(

Before I got my BFP, I had this lump in throat feeling. I got really stressed because I was convinced it was a growth of some sort. My doctor checked and told me it was due to acid reflux. He originally prescribed me Zantac but was later prescribed Gaviscon when I found out I was pregnant. The doc told me the occasional Zantac was Ok but I should try to stick to Gaviscon. It's not so bad now thankfully.
Discuss it with your doc or midwife but I think its probably related to pregnancy heartburn/indigestion. Good luck, hope your feeling better soon.

it could be a tonsil stone ? there small white lumps that get stuck in your throte ! they are gross but i always dig them out gently with something long ! if you dont know what they are look on net and you will see xx

I had this in one of my pregnancies and honestly, it was my worst pregnancy ever. I remember feeling a lump at around 5 weeks and no matter what I did it didn't go away. I thought it was a sore throat. I drank tea and it didn't help. I thought it was heartburn but I didn't have any burning pains or anything like that. At 6 weeks I stopped eating. I just couldn't eat and I needed IVs in the ER. I saw my baby on the scan so I knew everything was fine with the baby, but I was just falling apart because of this stupid lump feeling. By 7 weeks I was hospitalized from vomiting and spitting. I hear the lump is due to severe morning sickness such as hypermesis gravidarum which I had. I also had Ptyalism where I couldn't swallow my spit. I didn't eat for 2 full weeks and I stayed in the ER. It stopped at 10 weeks but came back at 12 weeks only once, I felt that lump again, my mouth fulled up with spit and I had to spit really fast into something. It never happened again after that but then again I always chewed gum so I wouldn't pay mind to my mouth watering up. The lump was annoying though! I was told it could be because of acid reflux though because it can form a lump in our throats and acid can make our mouths water as well as feeling very nauseous.

it can also be thrush......but you would need thst confirmed by a doctor

feel better

Thanks for your post, I am currently in hospital now for the second time in a week with HG, nearly 12 weeks through and looking for some respite after being sick for the last 5 weeks.
The lump in my throat is the worst, just as you described. Even if I start to feel ok, the lump feeling gets worse! Doc seems to think it is irritated from vomiting. I've tried mylanta and Zantac but neither (or any of the other meds for n&v) have made any change.
I see from your post you have had 6 pregnancies (I'm sorry for the loss of your baby Girl), just wondering if you had HG with all of them? Thus far this little foetus is going to be an only child lol.
To smiles28, hope you feel better soon! My OB has told me Zantac is ok to take, hope that works. I tried lemon and honey in hot water once, felt ok at the time, but not so great on the way out so I guess it depends if you're keeping stuff down.

Newbiemumma thank you ill try it!

It did go the next day, I think it's a mix of heartburn and like what some you ladies said acid. Just think its my type of morning sickness. Luckily last few days I haven't had it but I know it'll be a matter of time till it come again.

Thanks for all your opinions though have been helpful!!

I have had this off and on and its really scary..it hasn't been constant I had it at end of week 4 pretty full on, my pregnancy hadn't been confirmed but my at home tests were confirming...It felt like a huge lump and I burped alot after it..sorry TMI... but thats my story I am still getting it but its not full on like last weekend...
