Weird question, but do any of your babies only poo when in their car seats?!

In the past two months or so, I've started to realise that my daughter almost always only has a poo when she's in her car seat! At first we just thought it was coincidence and it became kinda a joke, but now seriously, it's the only time she'll ever poo. We don't have to be out anywhere, so it's not the motion or bouncing of the car or push chair. It's often the second I put her in. I'll fasten her in while in the kitchen and run into the lounge to grab something and by the time I come back she's pooped. Or sometimes it's in the car, but before I've even started the engine while I'm sitting looking at directions or the sat nav or trying to find my keys or whatever. If we don't go anywhere for two days, she won't poo. Then the second I get ready to go and put her in her seat, she does a poo! It's hilarious, but weird. I'm guessing it must be something to do with the semi-upright position that puts pressure on her bowels? It's just funny and strange. Anyone else have a baby like this?

This was definitely the case with us until he started more solids... I could drive anywhere without the inevitable explosion!

Yes! How odd I was just thinking this yesterday. He's still small so I still have the car seat attached to the bugaboo and even when we're not moving and I put him in there before we go out and I'm getting my stuff together he will have a pooh

lol... my dd only poos in one place, and one place only... her jumperoo or jumperpoo as it is commonly known as in our house!!!

Infact this morning I was thinking they should do giant ones for adults rather than give out laxatives.. it might help with constipation if my daughter is anything to go by!! lol

Haha, that's funny too! We just got a jumperoo like two days ago, so maybe this will be the new pooing place.

Though when I was a child, I only ever pooped hiding behind the sofa in the lounge. So maybe we just breed them weird in our family!

When she was little she pooped 24/7 is seemed, then it was in her bouncey chair .. now it seems to be while shes on the go.

My LO was put on sma stay down milk and gaviscon and he had real trouble at first and the only way he would poo is by holding him in the squatting position over his nappy (we then moved to over the toilet - less mess lol) this was the only way he would poo for about 3 months. He's not so bad now we only have to do it occasionally. But he also finds his jumparoo a good place or his bumboo. So I'd deffo say its the positioning - well it is for my guy anyway

My LO would poo every time she was in any kind of chair- car seat, bouncer, swing. Until she was 6 months old we couldn't get out of the neighborhood on the first trip. We would ALWAYS have to circle around and come home. It was hilarious.

My dd had constipation issues and it seemed the only time she could go for a bit was in her bumbo. I guess it was the way she was seated. Quite a few times putting her in i would aak if she was ready to poo

Haha I read this as baby sitter... I was thinking ew gross, find a new sitter!

Haha yes!! We call it the "poo chair" nearly every time we go out he does it!! He used to be the same with his swing and bouncer but now he doesn't in them so often so the car seat is his new favourite place to go!

My LO only seems to poop in her bouncy chair! I changed her nappy earlier then popped her in the chair,moments later explosion! My DH said she loves to do a pooh in her chair haha
