weird thing with ovulation test.

ok im on CD26 i am 2 days from my period, This morning i was getting pains like ovulation pain and out of curiosity i did a OPK test and the line came back just as strong as the test line. I am totally confused am i ovulating again 2 days before due

Did preg test this morning a asda one where it said u can test 4 days before period due and i got a not even the faintest of lines so.

Anyone have any idea what might be happening?

did you definitely ovulate earlier in your cycle? is it possible you're having a longer cycle than usual this month, and so O'd late? I have heard of people ovulating twice in one cycle though, so get BDing just in case!!!

you could also check out peeonastick.com, as she has presented conflicting results concerning OPKs sometimes getting darker and darker until you get your BFP, and sometimes not at all.

An OPK should only be positive because it's picking up LH or HCG though. The only ways I know of to get a positive OPK if you're not preg or ovulating is if you have PCOS or are on fertility meds that contain HCG. Can you go in for a blood test?

i did a opk befor a hpt coz i was bord and it came up as soon as the water hit it and a dark + then did htp and it was + that was at 12dpo it could be that u are oing soon but iv heard that some woman get a lh serg just befor af good luck

Ive been getting extreme positive on OPK since 8DPO and am now on 12DPO so Im wondering myself if that means Im pg?? I do have PCOS but that has never affected an OPK or HPT with me Ive been using them a while and know for certain that I O'd on CD20 of my cycle. only time will tell I will be testing with HPT in the next few days if AF doesnt arrive when it is due. baby dust to all!!!
