For the ladies that have gone into labor before or just recently did you notice any changes in your body (other than the obvious) that you think could have been an indication that labor was around the corner?

I'm not talking about losing your mucous plug, having a bloody show, or having contractions but anything on the strange side.

For example, my little dog has been going crazy around the house like she's a puppy again. Chewing on everything, tearing in the garbage, almost like she knows she won't be the baby of the family anymore soon or she's preparing us for parenthood.

Or I've noticed more saliva in my mouth lately, and also my urine has smelled differently for awhile now...

Just thought it might be fun to know if anything "weird" happened to you right before you went into labor! :flower:

I'm curious about this as well will be watching for replies. Hope all is well with you Hollie:)

I hope all is well with you also. :) Thank you.

I'm so ready to have this little girl! I want to know what she looks like and I want to know she's okay! :flower:

I have heard (but not experienced) that pets can start acting strange when labor is pending...like they are constantly attached to your side, or acting differently with you than they normally do. I personally have not experienced this though.

The last two days my dog has been acting strange. He has been pushing his treats and carrots away, acting depressed and lazy. Very unusual for him. He is not sick because he is still eating his food and drinking water. When my husband gives him treats and carrots he eats them but when I give them to him he pushes them and lies down.

my dog is always by my side, he licks my tummy... but lately hes been really bad..tearing things up and causing trouble...maybe its a sign or maybe hes forgot his manners.

Exactly how our little dog Tula is. She's tearing hell through the house like she's a puppy again. Chewing on anything she can. She's ruined all my husband's socks and whenever she can get to the toilet paper she does. I always have to scold her to stay away from the garbage can in the bathroom because she'll drag things out of it and all throughout the house!

The one thing I remember having the night before I went into labour was copious amounts of energy. I felt like I could have ran a marathon the night before I went into labour with my DD.. I spent 3 hours walking around Tesco's because I wasn't tired and wanted to kill some energy.. It was weird!

I'm going to be watching this thread. I'm curious to see some of the responses. I have noticed that my dog who is one of the most well behaved dogs I've ever seen has started to act a bit odd though this past week. He hasn't been destructive but he deffinitely hasn't been following the rules of the house really either and everyday commands like he should.

Hmmm... my cat's been following me around but its been like this the last few days already...

My 1 year old pup has been a little s+^t towards me throughout my pregnancy. A fortnight ago we were in crisis talks basically! I have put in a lot of work with him since but I do wonder what effect my hormones are having. The past few days he has been alot easier.

Same... My cat is usually out during the day or sleeps upstairs when I'm downstairs. For past couple of weeks he's been inside all day, and wanting to sleep next to me or in the same room as me. I keep trying to chuck him out

just stalking thread to always intresting to no.
cant remember with dd only thing i remembered was nesting but that wasnt right before labour as i was induced but it was close to induction and i was 3cms when induced so labour was close.
i did notice towards the end though my hearing was amazing not sure if thats anything but i would wake up to everything that hasnt changed since

That's so interesting about your hearing! I have been in the mood to nest too but I haven't found the energy to do much. Lately it's just been that I feel like I have so much to do and I need to get to it. I want to organize and make sure everything is perfect for when she comes. Even rooms that she probably won't ever go in.

Hmm my dog has been acting weird too! Just being really needy and barking at us if we ignore her for too long.. lol

It's funny I saw this thread. I just told my husband the other day that something is weird with our one cat. He's been following me and wanting me to pet him all the time. Normally, he sticks to himself and we barely even see him. He's been with us since the day he was born 8yrs ago and was acting similar when I was pregnant with our son 6yrs ago.

The only other weird thing going on for me is headaches. I seem to have one everyday now and I haven't had any since the very first few weeks of the pregnancy. They actually make me sick to my stomach when I get one and they seem to last most of the day.

we have two dogs. my dog has been pretty much the same towards me throughout my whole pregnancy but my OH's dog usually keeps to himself and couldn't care less about me but hes been sleeping on the floor on my side of the bed he follows me in every room i go, if i lay on the couch he just sits and stares at me. its been going on the last couple days and i thought it was kinda strange but didnt think too much into it but maybe he knows something i dont know...
ive also been waking up to everything..i hear the slightest noise and it wakes me up which i guess is good because my OH could sleep through a box of bricks being dropped on his head..im really hoping that changes when she gets here!!

This reminds me, sort of unrelated but I found it really odd. I just remembered!

About two days after having my son, I went for a walk with him. Just wanted to go around the block... And then this random cat I have never seen before started following me! Not at a distance, but would climb up things to get closer to me, and when I stopped would try and launch onto me! Not in a aggressive way, but just... Completely obsessed. I think it was going for my boobs.

Animals are odd.
