Well here we go! moving from my Pregnancy journal over here to parenting at long last 
I'm going to start it off with the very LONG and indepth birth story
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wednesday 3rd March- Was sent to day assessment unit by midwife, high blood pressure, 2+'s of protein in my wee, swollen fingers, swollen feet, headaches and seeing stars. Was wired up to CTG, took bloods and told to return tomorrow for more monitoring.
Thursday 4th March- Back to DAU. Still have all the above problems and bloods came back with a rating of 90 something for protein when it should be around 20. Waited for consultant for ages to see what happens next, thinking I would just get medicated or ordered to rest. Met consultant, read through my notes and said "lets get things started" Didn't realise he meant there and then and for an induction *cue panic* Got admitted to ward where I found my bed for the night, made a few frantic texts and calls and managed to get my stuff which was at home up to hospital via sister/dad. Was given a booklet about induction to read and I was petrified!something about getting a dose of gel every six hours 3 times....Set up camp for the night, my ward neighbours were a snoring women next to me and a noisy contracting lady opposite me!
11pm: Got examined and was told I was getting my first dose of gel. I thought she did give me the gel but turns out she gave me a proper good membrane sweep and said I was 3cms dilated already! No need for induction, labour was already on its way without me knowing! The woman opposite me was 1-2cms dilated and moo'ing and moaning loudly!
1am- Sat up drinking tea and eating choccy fingers, wondering what all this labour fuss is about! got up for a wee and was greeted with a lot of pink mucous, bloody showtime Not really sure what happened between 1am and 4am except drinking lots of tea and eating lots of fruit.
4:30am Midwife came back to examine me, 4cms dilated things ticking by slowly. Let FOB and sister know that things are going slowly and not to expect anything to happen before 12 hours at least.
06:15 Hmmm pain?? contractions?? I dont know! but give me some gas and air anyways! Asked midwife for some drugs and she offered pethidine which I really wasn't interested in...GIVE ME GAS PLEASE!
06:30 Hello gas and air, oh I feel stoned/drunk/nausea all in one go. Texted a lot of people a lot of nonsense which I find out about later. I asked my sister (birth partner) to get there about 9-10. Was halfway through singing "ooh eee ooh ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang" song for some reason and filled 3 of the vomit trays with orange squash vomit and was told I'd be going to delivery soon!So soon??!texted sister but turns out she had a taxi booked for 6 50 anyways.
07:00 being wheeled to delivery, spot my sister walking down the hall and shouted "HIII BECKKYYYY" really loudly. Don't remember much else at all. Wheeled into my delivery room, nice decor! sister unpacked my 9 million bags. Contractions started coming thick and fast every 1-2 minutes. Oh my god! Owww! Being strapped to monitors but not enjoying it, moving around too much and moaning. Asked for a birth ball but was still strapped up, defeated the object of being free. Got annoyed and asked to get taken off the monitors.
7:45 Ok things hurttttttt now, feels like need to wee constantly. Got examined and fully dilated. Was begging for pain relief but wouldnt get any as I was fully dilated, kept asking...was too out of it to have noticed that I was fully dilated.
08:00am Midwife noticed my bum kind of "bearing down" told her I just needed a wee and she said no you are having the baby!!!! so i stood up, squatted down on the floor cause it felt like i was going to do a huge wee!
08:25- WHOOOOSSSSSHHHH waters break all over my feet. get unbelievable urge to push! midwifes are trying to get me on the bed but was having none of it, i was happy squatting at the end of the bed. Asked if simon a paramedic could come in and observe. I welcomed him with open arms and told him to join the party. Oh my god-i need to push! put my hand between my legs and felt it bulging, midwife stood behind me rushing around trying to get stuff on the floor, other midwife on other side of the bed looking under the bed with simon with a mirror. Burns a bit, pussshh......and another push and her head pops out. Another push and she is completely out, midwife behind me caught her like a rugby ball between my legs. Weirdest feeling ever!
08:35 welcome to the world Ophelia! was begging midwifes" let me shut my legs!!!" they helped me up on the bed, cord hanging and blood everywhere- and i mean everywhere-feet, hands, bum, arms! i was bathed in my own blood! skin to skin with Fi which helped the placenta come out in about 15 minutes. Sister cut the cord. 9lb 11oz, 56cms! No stitches, no tears, a little graze, huge baby on gas and air! just the natural birth I wanted.
Suprised from going from needing intervention by induction to ending up completely natural! I have all my thanks for EPO and RLT! 4 days post partum and my tummy is back to normal breastfeeding is going awesomly and she is the most content happy easy little baby ever 
I'm so in love with her!
