Gosh what a weekend last Tuesday dexter went on Zantac and I came on here asking for help and as always u were there for me thank you. Since then he seemed to be more unsettled and hardly sleeping on the day worse then normal then Saturday night he started crying, he was screaming in pain and nothing would stop him even offering the breast, I was so scared that we got in the car and headed to A+E. Half way there Dex still crying kept suddenly going silent his eyes rolling and shallow breath I had to kinda shake him to being him round I was so scared we went through a red light just had to get there he eventually just crashed out and fell asleep catching his breath and whimpering. Though I had filmed a bit of the cry to show the doc tho my phone went flat and I'm sure the doctor thought he was simply crying over reactive mother grr. It was not the case at all. Saw a peaditrition who said can't find anything physically wrong and sent me home with the same Zantac he was on.
Since then I decided to stop the Zantac and go back to gaviscon. Has anyone else seen this in their babies? The floppy episodes in the car were so scary. He seemed to be in pain with his tummy tho can't be sure. I'm so worried now everytime he cries I think oh no .

Sorry i cant offer advice but i hope everything is ok and LO gets better..
Maybe look on google and see if there are any side effects of the meds he is on? Xx

Diddnt want to read and run but I can't offer any advise sorry, hope your LO gets better soon! :hugs: xx

Does he have acid reflux? I found that the A & E think new parents over react. What is wrong with your LO?

hi and thank you for your reply, well Dexter is BF and I think I may have found the problem broccoli? Every friday night I have it with my dinner and every saturday he has crying episodes and nothing I do can console him, :( Anyone got any tips for colic? I think its that as he screams and screams and I was in bed with him nearly all day then as quickly as he passed wind it went. poor boy :(

Have you tried infacol or gripe water to help bring up the wind? X

yep :( stearing clear of infacol as someone said it can make reflux worse? and Gripewater dosent seem to help at all :(.

Have you tried massage? You have to keep it up everyday as it's more effective done on a relaxed child rather than doing it only when they are in pain.
