I have been panicking recently about silent miscarriages and the chance of not seeing a heartbeat at our scan on 9th August. I am nearly 12 weeks and up until now we had not been able to hear any heartbeat using a doppler at home.

Last night, we were trying again with the doppler and I was getting frustrated as I couldn't find anything. I let my hubby have a go and he found it! It was definitely the baby as it was about twice as fast as mine! :happydance:

I'm just so relieved that our little baby has a heartbeat. Hopefully this now means that I can relax and look forward to seeing him/her at the scan, rather than imagining the worst! x

Yay! What brand of doppler are you using? x

It's an angelsounds one. I've been trying to find the heartbeat since 9 weeks, so it did take a little while. I now think that LO was hiding, because hubby found the heartbeat for about a minute and then it disappeared again. And then later on, I found it for 30 seconds before it disappeared again! We could hear the placenta clearly though so I think the little monkey kept swimming behind it! :haha:

I found it about an inch up from the pubic area, slightly to the left of centre if that helps others x

Wow well done for finding it this early! I have that doppler and only found my baby's heartbeat when I was 14 weeks gone :)

I have to give the credit to my husband really - I couldn't find anything for weeks. First time he has a go, he finds it within minutes! :rofl:

He said it just needed an engineer's touch! :haha: x

CONGRATS!! I know what you mean, i'm 9 + 5 and I can't find mine with the Angelsounds yet. Trying to keep calm as midwife said my womb tilts backwards x

I was getting really frustrated last night because I kept reading all these stories online of women who had found it at 9-10 weeks, and here I was at nearly 12 not being able to find it. Of course, I ignored all the stories of women who said they couldn't find it until later on.

I know that it won't mean much (as I ignored others saying the same to me), but try not to worry. I'm sure you will be able to find it soon. (I am such a hypocrite!) x

I still cant get my LO's heartbeat :nope:

Congrats on finding yours :happydance::baby:

Awww congrats i hope its settled your mind now you know LO is fine :) xxx
