What a stressfull day!!!

Firstly what a stressful and confusing day! We thought we were around 7-8 weeks pregnant and this morning I started bleeding fairly heavy after intercourse. I immediately panicked due to me having a previous miscarriage, so we phoned the DR and she managed to fit us in to the EPU this afternoon. So I obviously had to fill my bladder, which was uber difficult as you can all probs imagine and then when we went in to the room we had an ultrasound scan, but nothing showed up, so I was laying there thinking the worst and she suggested doing an internal; I was really iffy about this as I've luckily never had a smear, had an internal exam or anything, but I obviously agreed because the babys safety was on my mind, so I had an internal exam and we saw our bean, our very very little bean... who was measuring at around 4-5 weeks (8mm) but the heartbeat was good and that was a plus, but 4-5 weeks??? Although my cycles arent uber uber regular their still fairly regular and the earliest I thought I could be was around 6 weeks.... really shocked and disappointed as more of a wait to meet our bean, but all smiles that we've seen him/her on the screen and everythings developing nicely so far

Just wondering really, as read online that at 5 weeks pregnant the baby is roughly measuring at 2mm.... our bean was measuring 8mm but we were told that we were around 4-5 could their estimate be completely wrong?

Maybe they meant 4-5 weeks after conception? That would fit with the size, and mean 6-7 weeks by normal dating.

The nurse said I was 4/5 weeks pregnant, sadly not passed conception, that's the confusing thing really :S
