What age do babies start giggling?

Olivia can giggle..But there's still no sound.. I'm dying to hear her little laugh. What age is common for baby laughs?

Hello hun.. I know what you mean when they giggle with no sound - very cute.. I think there is a large range of ages when it starts, I heard her first proper laugh about 3 weeks ago and she has only done it 3 times since, and thats from a lot of funny-play with her its like getting blood out of a stone! ha ha but worth it.. I would look out any time now! xxx

Gaby was a late giggler! Made us wait until last week, so about 6 and a half months. Was worth the wait tho, was in the vets of all places and the vet was carrying on with our dog and she burst out laughing. The whole place came to a halt to listen, it was very cute!

Lewis did it yesterday for the first time but just the once and not done it again yet.

If it's anything like his rolling though he may not do it again for ages. He rolled front to back at 3 weeks a couple of times but not done it again since.

Omar started giggling with sound at 8 wks. I was changing his nappy & brought his feet too close to his face, & he started laughing loud. But he's sooo early with using his voice, & is already talking xx

ollie has been doing it for the past 4 weeks. its so cute. she giggles like crazy when we tickle her ribs or shoulders, and if we say boo and make her jump she laughs at the too x

Noah's been giggling for a week now, we were in the library and he just started laughing so hard and I still don't know what it was at! He doesn't do it much, mostly when he's getting bounced up and down or tickled lol

We got a giggle at 9 weeks after a couple of weeks of silent laughing mouth. Got first proper laugh at 12 weeks and now he laughs at everything- silly faces/noises, wind blowing on his hair.... so cute.

Her first little giggle was at about 9/10 weeks but her first really hearty giggle was about 16 weeks and it just gets better. She gets into uncontrollable fits now. She is one of the happiest babies I know, even if that does sound biased!
